Off Topic · OT - A video tribute to my beloved New York Jets (page 1)

May this Thanksgiving Day performance mark the day the Jets blow up the team from top to bottom! Knowing my team too well, Woody Johnson will probably give Rex, Sanchez, and Tannenbaum one more year to figure it out.

knicks1248 @ 11/23/2012 12:59 PM
This team is sooooo not focus, Im a die hard packer fan, but I do care about my ny teams..
Rex has been a MASCOT type coach since day one, his best work so far has been average..then you bring Tbow, inside the media capital, last yr you bring plex, this teams is full of distractions..thats how they play..

We seen this type a thing first hand with the Knicks, guys are in and out worry about everything but the game..

how the hell did sanchez forget the play he just called 7 seconds ago..WTF are you thinking about

knickscity @ 11/23/2012 1:19 PM
I'm a huge Jets fans, and I was thoroughly embarrassed last night.

They do need to just blow that shit up, starting with the dude that can't back his words up.

The Thanksgiving Day Massacre

I think Rex is a good coach but im starting to question myself now. Mr T definitely needs to be demoted back to capoligist but will Woody pull the trigger on a new GM? Maybe he knows something we don't know. Maybe Rex is to blame for some of the awful personnel decisions. Rex wanted to use their 1st round pick on another defensive player so they draft Coples over Chandler Jones who New England stole. So for the first time I think Rex is coaching for his own job.

You go after Peyton Manning then you cuddle Sanchez with a contract extension which is fine but then you bring in Tim frickin Tebow. The most popular backup QB to ever play the game! Sanchez needed someone to push him but not Tim Tebow! Fools who want to start Tebow don't realize he is a worse starting QB than Sanchez! You can't even make a change at QB now because you will lose Sanchez for good.

Sanchez and Greene need to be replaced. Start over, tank and draft the best RB or QB available. Fire Sparano-another idiotic move. Who gets the blame there? Rex for wanting to ground and pound with Shonn frickin Greene? Jet's were a ground and pound team Rex's first year. That team was incredible defensively and Thomas Jones was a hell of a back and leader, so underrated! You protected Sanchez and limited his mistakes. Sanchez raised his level of play in the playoffs. Developed good chemistry with Braylon Edwards. Then you say you want to through the ball more, sign a way over the hill Tomlinson over Thomas Jones, play Wayne Hunter at right tackle all year as Sanchez gets rocked. When he isn't getting sacked he is fumbling the ball and throwing INT's at an alarming rate.

This past offseason was a disaster adding only Tebow and Sparano and ignoring the offensive completely and saying you want to get back to ground and pound with Shonn frickin Greene. Last night was fitting for the Jets. They deserve to be embarrassed on national TV during a national holiday! Blow it up! Thank god I'm a Giants fan! I rooted for the Jets to win it all the first two years in the AFC championship games but they lost me last year with Rex's comments about the Giants and covering the Giants SB trophies. Which helped lift the Giants to a Superbowl ring that started with that game and Cruz's 90yd TD in their mouths!

As a Giants fan who shows the Jets some love, I was thoroughly emberassed and ashamed by what I saw. I couldn't even watch it, it made me feel bad. I've never seen anything like that in all of my years watching football. Total Ineptitude.

They need a new Oline, a new rb, and they can have a team like the Browns until they find a better QB. cut Tebow and draft some wide outs.

tkf @ 11/23/2012 2:32 PM
yesterdays game was a joke, and as a diehard jets fan, I am embarrassed... I think the GM should be fired right now... there are just a few pieces I KEEP On this team.. revis, cromartie, the young DL men coples and wilerson... mangold and brick... outside of that, everything else can go!! to come out and embarrass yourself like this just shows how broken this team is...

guns we also need a stud at wide receiver, our receiving corps is a joke... and we have to get younger at LB, we have the slowest LB's in the game...

JesseDark @ 11/23/2012 3:21 PM
That play is going to be the defining play of his career. It will live on like the Miracle at the the Meadowlands when the Giants blew the game trying to take a knee.
What is so disgusting is that he seems to fumble at the slightest contact.
If the play was busted why did't he try to break wide instead of into the line.
Sanchez plays ok until that first turnover then it is all down hlll after that.

Lol Bart Scott is a joke! For as much bark and smack he talks, he looked like he was in slow motion chasing Vereen on that 10 yard swing pass which essentially clinched the game. They are pretty talent deprived at every major position, even cornerback with Revis suffering the torn ACL.

gunsnewing @ 11/23/2012 4:05 PM
If the Jets had calvin johnson they would be marginally better. Sanchez wouldn't get the ball to him consistently enough and they would Clash. WR should be last on their priority list. With a real QB and RB they have enough in Keller, holmes, kerley & hill. They can use another decent WR but lets face it. Sanchez is a joke.

Quickest way to rebuild is to trade revis for a couple high draft picks to go along with their own high first round pick. Draft a new QB, RB, LB and OT...lotta holes to fill wow

and you don't even know if you will get the same Revis again!
