NUPE wrote:LoL, Barkley, the Knick hater, just said he would give Melo the MVP right now. He actually has a vote unlike the naysayers on this board. They (Kerr, Barkley and one other) also said that the award goes to the best player on one of the best teams RATHER than the best player in the league. LoL! What a great game.

Melo may be hurt.

21 games. What will they be saying after we lose 2 in a row?

He was saying that the way he judges MVP voting (best player on the team with the best record), Melo would be winning it now. If we still have the best record after 2 losses, it still applies.

I think Brewer is good but is clearly not healthy because he can't put together games back to back. For a guy not healthy he is doing great.

Exactly! You have Kobe, Gasol, Nash and D. Howard. Their not NBA quality players? They should've never fired Mike Brown or gave Phil Jackson what he wanted. They are not playing to their players strengths

i said 5.. they are missing nash and gasol, the rest of that team is not very good.... are nash and gasol available to play? no, so the lakers don't have 5 Nba players even when nash gets back, they have no gasol..... right now, it is kobe, dwight and an artest that is not close to what he was a couple of years ago..

why do you guys take quotes, change them, create a different argument and then pat yourself on the back?

LOL

jeez

We will have a tough time closing out the game without melo's scoring.
gunsnewing @ 12/13/2012 10:12 PM
This sucks can't believe Melo is injured again. He will be out at least a week. Assuming it really is his ankle
HugeKnick4 @ 12/13/2012 10:13 PM

of course not why would people say that before the season they looked good on paper.... so tell me, what are the lakers.. a great team that is just playing around?

did anyone expect the hawks to be good this year? did that change the fact that they are now a good team?

This is true. The Lakers have been exposed which for them in the long run is a good thing. Now management knows what they actually have. The Role players are DREADFUL and many of the key players are old and a step slower. They're gonna have to improve the roster.

Still the Knicks better pick it up minus Melo, cuz this game isn't over.

we need amare back soon
HARDCOREKNICKSFAN @ 12/13/2012 10:17 PM
The Knicks must close out the 4th with as much intensity as they can muster. By NO means can we let the Lakers even so much as breathe.

Close 'em all out, Knicks! Another three... yeah!

First off, you said "I don't care if they have Nash" implying when Nash comes back they still don't have a quality 5. Yes Gasol is injured, but even with him they were still losing. I didn't even add Meeks and Artest. But whatever, if what you said was misunderstood, my fault. How about just say that's not what you meant instead of the slick remarks.

jazz74 @ 12/13/2012 10:18 PM
barkley on the bandwagon??? saying melo is the top 5 player in the world?! Lol
