What he did to Sloan one of the greatest coaches to ever coach is a different story but I don't want to hear Deron is a coach killer for the Avery fire. The firing is well deserved. Avery is clueless offensively and players don't take him seriously

It seems to be a pattern with him.
It may just be coincidence but there has been a lot of drama where Deron has been. First Sloan is fired, and then the not commiting to resigning with the Nets and now Avery is fired.

Wait Sloan was fired or resigned?

or did Deron want him gone so Sloan when the Dantoni route instead of getting fired?

It's been a while I thought Sloan just walked away. He was there forever

Ken Berger‏@KBergCBS

While not unforeseen given the Nets' struggles, firing Johnson caught some in the organization off guard. Clearly a Prokhorov decision.

If he sucks, he's fired

Damn, it's all cold and snowy out side, and the little general has take that loooooong walk to his car.

Brooklyn was right. Their city is under new management.

Tweet:

“He no could win, so we set him on fire. Yes?.......No? We just fire? What is difference? " - Prokhorov

Not clumsy enough.

Bonn1997 @ 12/27/2012 1:33 PM
Before the year started, I said this looked like a .450 team. Then I kept my mouth shut since they kept winning but I still think it's a .450 to .500 team.
gunsnewing @ 12/27/2012 1:38 PM
How long before Deron chokes PJ?

After repeated clashes with star point guard Deron Williams(notes) and a belief he had become undermined with ownership, Jerry Sloan resigned as the Utah Jazz coach after 23 seasons, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The increasingly contentious relationship between Sloan and Williams boiled over when they clashed at halftime of a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. The showdown between Sloan and Williams became so heated on Wednesday, at least two Jazz players feared that the coach and star could come to blows – even though the confrontation ended before reaching that point.

11-4 to 3-11, that's pretty bad for a coach. Wonder if they are going to throw in the towel the rest of the month with the Cavs, Bobcats and Spurs coming up.

From Avery Jr.:

Avery Johnson Jr.‏@itsaveryjohnson

The expectations were way to high for this team. We didn't even have a losing record.... Didn't even give my dad a full season. #OUTRAGE

AnubisADL @ 12/27/2012 1:49 PM

WOW Deron is a punk no doubt about that. Still don't think Avery is a good coach though. We'll see what happens now. They are going to hire a big name now. Deron better put up and shut up

AnubisADL @ 12/27/2012 2:20 PM
Please trade the bad seed Williams to the Knicks for Felton and filler.
Nalod @ 12/27/2012 2:23 PM
Deron has had two coachs in his career. Big deal. Deron is a dick, and its a dicks league.

Avery did a fine job with Blatch as a "life" coach.

I like him but his offense was tough to watch. From coach of the month to Gone is pretty extreme.
He won with Humph then they stopped using their bench, and he is really keeping Marshon down.

Nets have some firepower but not using it.

8 coaches in 11 years with us. Im not talking smack quite yet.

PJ is actually a good coach and would be fine letting him ride out the season. Would have been fun if they hired MDA!

StarPhuch with Phil Jax would be fun.

We need some "Brooklyn Guido" to take over. Give Phil Weber the job!

fitzfarm @ 12/27/2012 2:24 PM
I wouldn't be suprised if Phil jackson is named the coach
gunsnewing @ 12/27/2012 2:32 PM
nice! Jarrod is a Magic beatwriter

Jarrod N Rudolph ‏@JRudolphSports
Stan Van Gundy has no interest in Brooklyn job <--- Sucks for the @BrooklynNets. How about Nate McMillian or Brian Shaw

If I'm the Nyets I look at Nate McMillian for sure
