That was the best we looked all night. We are not getting consistent efforts from other guys--its way too much hit or miss. Camby did look good --maybe he should start at PF?
I think he should. He is also a smart passer though can't shoot. Hard to have Chandler who won't shoot and Camby who can't shoot both starting.
I think we might need JR to start though it will kill our bench (if we start Camby).

To be fair Tyson has a bad ankle. I think the problem tonight was starting KT. Brewer has to start with felton and shump out. Pretty sure Woodson will start Camby until Amare is ready after tonight bad start

If he ever ends up starting Camby, he'll end up giving him the Kurt Thomas treatment.

JR should just start. Hes brought his game to another level.
I like that line up. We might need to trade something to shore up the 2nd unit. Im very scared about Novak--not only does it seem like teams can take him out--but now his shot seems hurried and its not the same thing. You have too many question marks it seems. Give Copeland and White a solid 20 minute chance each on the 2nd unit for now.
2nd 5
C-Sheed
F-Amare
F-Copeland
G-White
G Prignoni

Novak is certainly pressing and you are correct. He is rushing his shot.
We need to trade for a PG. White maybe ok but is unwilling to shoot from the outside and commits bad fouls. He might just need more burn. Too much pressure when you only see a few minutes here and there.
Shump coming back will help but who knows where he will be health wise. And, he is not a high IQ player on offense and will need time to learn.
JR has to start but I don't want him to get crazy if he starts and get out of control.
He may be the teams best rebounder at the moment.

This seemed to be a nice lineup. Plenty of offense and no issues with rebounding.
I think Cope should be mixed in more. I have noticed since 5 or 6 games ago he looks more fluid and confident when he gets time. Marcus,Im kinda up in the air about starting and subbing gotta see him play more to draw conclusions. But we def miss Sheed.

We have been starting games off brutal. Just put your best players in the starting 5--we need some help rebounding. I think Carmelo is going to get his 30m points whether he plays 2-3-4. Camby should be able to help rebounding and defense and no need to bring JR off the bench anymore--we need that jumpstart at the beginning of games. Amare needs to be the main new scorer in the 2nd lineup--thats what he does best. We have the parts here--I think some reshuffling will do wonders.

AGREED,lets remember the blazers shot the lights out and we still only lost by 5. I hafta agree, put the best starting 5 on the floor and instead of getting in a hole we jump out to a good start and prob a lead. This will force the second unit to give that extra little UMP when they get their time. Its a good idea to get the lead early and put pressure on the second unit to keep the lead, maybe it leads to more hustle and better d. JMHO

I'm beginning to see that as the only solution. Having guys like Brewer and KT hurt us big time. Not having any offense besides Melo really kills us. Need more balance from the starting 5, instead of always digging out of early holes.

No way you can put your your star bench players in the starting line up. You do that and your going to have your bench blowing leads, You want brewer, prigs, KT, Sheed and stationary novak as your bench unit, I seriously doubt it.

Maybe you didnt understand what I said. if we jump out to a good lead, those bench players KNOW they are going to look like crap if they lose the lead. Woodys gotta say,"Cope ,go in there and get me some points and rbs." "Novak we could use a few 3s to keep the lead" "Sheed or Camby I need to give Tyson a rest, go in there and hold down the middle." If Woody really wants to to "make players accountable" hes gotta challenge the second squad more and make them put on their big boy pants.
I'd like to see Camby get more minutes, regardless of whether he starts or not. He's actually added an okay jumper in the years he's been gone too (seems Kurt misses more than he makes these days). Hmm- who would you start once he's healthy- Camby or Sheed?
Last nights game had a historic moment- a Camby and Amar'e front court for a few minutes- that could have been our front court for the past decade if we hadn't made the camby trade!
