Dleague??? Here you go, I can't work out players though.
The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have acquired centers Tyson Chandler and Alexis Ajinca (pronounced ah-lek-SEE ah-Gin-sa) from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for center Erick Dampier, forward Eduardo Najera, guard Matt Carroll and cash considerations.Read more: http://www.insidehoops.com/blog/?p=6210#ixzz2HnDY3jnt
I don't see how you keep saying the knicks couldn't trade Novak for anyback up point guard in the league.

Why would OJ Mayo play limited role to any of those guys? He is actually more talented than them.

But, Tyson Chandler's value was at an alltime low at that point; the previous two seasons he only played in 96 out of a possible 164 games due to injury. If my memory serves, a lot of people were trashing Dallas for that trade. Also, it was a large salary dump for Charlotte http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nba/new.... Dampier had a non-guaranteed $13M contract. We only have a couple of veteran minimum expirings that wouldn't get anything in a trade.

I haven't been suggesting we trade for an allstar either, i'm talking about a backup point guard that can play 15-20 minutes a night. And maybe that player grows in his new role on a title contending team.
Evans is back in Sacramento backing up Isaiah, you don't think we could trade for Brooks???
Novak and second round pick couldn't get that deal done???

Absolutely not. Aaron Brooks has way more value than a journeyman forward and a 2nd round pick. Why would Sacramento want to make that trade? At the very least they'll be looking for a 1st rounder in return.

Aaron Brooks wasn't even in the league last year and will demoted back to 3rd string point guard with Isaiah and Evans health.
Like wise with Duhon in LA, the knicks could definitely move a 2nd pick and Novak for Duhon, who was solid for the lakers when Blake and Nash were down.

Let's put it this way. If I'm Miami and I hear that the Knicks are about to trade for Brooks for Novak and a 2nd rounder wouldn't the Heat up the offer to at least a future 1st rounder to keep him out of our hands?

I agree, that is why Copeland has a hard time finding minutes as Woodson prefer's veterans
And for the same reason, I wanted to add Martin and Jannero Pargo, as they have years of experience to our roster with our injuries
Even though there are more high potential players available, I would be happy with what they brought on both ends
We need help to hold the fort down till our players come back healthy
Speed/quickness/DEF would be the #1 priorities and then shooting/TEAM players/High IQ

I doubt it. I don't think they view us as the critical opponent they have to stop from improving - OKC and SAS probably are. They're better off either keeping their picks or using them to get a strong interior defender and rebounder. That would help them much more than making sure we don't acquire a backup backup PG would.

We already have two Back up back up point guards. It would be nice to have a back up who can can actually perform for 20 minutes a night against good teams.
Some of these player's might be available and I am not sure if Copeland might be needed to sweeten the deal
Patty Mills and Filler
JJ Barea, Chase Bundiner??
James Johnson
John Lucas III and filler, they have some decent G/F's and F's at good value
Brandon Rush/Charles Jenkins *I know Rush is injured for this year but his value is low now and we might need a player to help replace JR Smith*

Three of the guys on that list are on the Erie Bayhawks, including DJ Kennedy, who can play some point, and Henry Sims who we're all familiar with from training camp. Shelvin Mack was tearing it up, but the 76ers already scooped him up. I'd definitely take a look at Sims if our injuries continue to mount and I might take a look at Kennedy. I saw that we recently signed Demetri McCamey, who I liked coming out of Illinois. None of these dudes are world beaters, but it'd be nice to see mor eplayers under 30 on the roster.

Tell them again....I love my old and broken up players....Especially after we win that Chip! I don't care if you are pushing 50.....The power of basketball IQ is very underrated.
I create teams with 35 - 40 yr olds all the time. We won almost 90% of the time. IQ and experience is hard to learn when you are wet behind the ears, still feeling yourself. This thread is only motivation for us old and broken down players. I love killing these young cats in the gym. And I'm the same age as Kidd. Cheers to the broken and old still dominating!
Lets go...keep the hatred coming. I can't wait to hear what yall have to say when we are playing in the championship game! And the old and broken down players are leading the charge!
