Hey Martin or Andrew you can can merge this with Briggs thread if you want but I thought this is somewhat newsworthy considering the fragility of their team as as we get closer to approaching trade deadline...

So it took Jordan Hill to tear up his Hip and Gasol to get a Concussion in order for D'AnToni to play Earl Clark who only logged 14min total up to that point all season and the Lakers continue to lose although Clark has played well in their absence and he wins out the starting power forward spot over Gasol....

Gasol has already spoken publicly he doesn't want to come off the bench and doesn't view himself as a bench player and D'AnToni himself 1 week ago said he wasn't ready to make Gasol a bench player. He said it was too early to think that way.

YIKES!

I think they need to get someone else off the bench.

I think its difficult for 2 seven footers to play together and get peak performance. The year the Lakers won the title with Bynum and Gasol.. Gasol was the main guy and that kind of reversed the last 2 years. My bet is he is closer to the 18-19 -10 rebound 4 assists 1.5 block guy 50% if given a 38 minute run with good players. How can Dantoni system play 2 7 footers and work unless 1 was a mobile 4 like Dirk? Gasol probably has 3-4 good years left in him

That's pretty much what was said during the game moments ago. D'AnToni citing player efficiency ratings.
