Knicks · Saying fact: Knicks good but proves they can't take punch to chin, Teams prove they can push NYK around to beat them now! (page 2)
And should we actually win more than one playoff game, they have to climb Everest bare handed without a rope.
And should we get out of the first round, they have to go through Navy Seal boot camp.
As always, it is a long season. Every win does not mean the Knicks will win the finals and every loss does not mean that the Knicks are scrubs, mentally weak and should all be waived.
If you look at my post history, I never get excited about a win and never get down after a loss. The East is close up top and this is what many expected going into the season. Things will play out over the next few weeks and I expect the Knicks to get better as Felton returns, Amar'e continues to regain his form and Shumpert begins to get into shape.

Much like the Cs do,foul until the refs call it.They cant call every foul so hit them until the whistle blows. We must stop trying to be a finesse team because finesse doesnt win titles, hard fouling grinding games win the CHIP.But, if we are not big and athletic enough to do this then is it better to play to our strengths then weekness? Im sure we all not have our team be pushed around and be men playing "old school" ball being like Oak, but is that a winning formula?
I agree the tough need to get it done but Miami was not that kind of team last year, nor was Dallas the year before.
If its not our make up, why go there?
Because its gonna trickle down to all the teams that we go against in the playoffs. We MUST show we aint gonna get pushed around and hafta ou punishment to teams that come down the lane,in our house or a road teams game. Just like teams know now that to beat the Knicks, they must double and triple team Melo, acting like tough guys against us is gonna get under our skins. We must go old school and kick some butts, take names and get on an even plain in the agressive dept. Even tho its before the all star break we must develop a tough guy team.We are gonna need it in the playoffs.
Watch the highlights again. How many open, uncontested layups did the N*yets make? Our interior defense prior to the fourth quarter was abominable. Too many sets where JR, Cope, even Tyson, for the love of sheehit, are standing around wondering "hey, where'd that guy come from?" Amare looked lost on D at times. Is everyone suddenly afraid of fouling out? Hey Woody, how about coaches run for each quarter without an uncontested lay up?
JJ was hotter than crap. He doesn't get those two early fouls (questionable at best) and it probably is alot less of a game than it was. At least in the first half. He looked like he could of thrown the ball in from the BQE with his eyes closed. No stopping that, although JR, raise your hands son. Those hops can work nice getting in the bad man's face, too, you know.
N*yets shooting 50% from three from here on in? I don't think so.
Not talking about this game, talking about our season in general, and ,moving forward.
I can't wait to start reading posts later on this season about how the N*yets "kicked our teeth in" twice this year.
JR's shot goes in and maybe we have a different ending.
Relax, boat jumpers, we lost by three. It wasn't a 30 point blow out.
Oh and the new math tells me 14-6 = .700 at home. Only.
Get me the posts that shows me who didn't want to sign up for playing .700 ball at home halfway through the season.
[/quote]
That aint the point posts ghost,
14-6 can just as easily become soon be 16-10 if knickerbockers aint careful or begin to win,
This may be ok with you but not from my end if you consider our team elite.
Plus if knicks are on level of being good you suppose to have stealth record at home. In case havent notice aside from good teams ny is struggling vs bad teams this month too!

Injuries have happened yes, but this team has got to start playing better and win on a more consistent basis. The Knicks are slowly letting everything they work hard for slip trough their fingers.
I agree with this. Their defense has been shaky and there has been more iso ball then even I like. I think Felton will help with both these things since Kidd simply can not get into the lane consistently and is not a good man defender at this point.

You guys love to reach and make statements based on little to no evidence.
The evidence is simple wons & losses, poor perimeter defense.. no rebounding

Reaching? Why are you currently looking only at knicks record still good
Knicks soft or otherwise? Not sure which nyk games you r watching of course knicks lost soft
This post is all fair & accurate criticism & cannot figure out for life of me why you'd settle for
Mediocrity-Knicks again. Havent knick fans had enough of this mediocre thinking?
Same folks who complain on forumers reaching, & Melo poor recent games (he's allowed) will be same folks
Again complaining if Knicks slip to 30-25, they want coach out, want new PGs & will want Melo traded
FACT is knicks playing bad hoops at home, & avg. On the road this month of January
Fact is teams whom has success or winning teams do not get pushed around consistently during losses
Do not get constantly outrebounded in most positions & Do not rely on their 3pt game as sole schemes to
Be able to beat teams.
If that isnt clear on viewing recent knick play

Being unable to match up size wise with Tyson as our only big and being physically out muscled by a bigger team does not equate soft. At least that is not how I see it.

Wow, you grasp losers math so easily. 14-6 could more easily be 18-8, all things being what they currently are.
I don't have to notice anything about the Knicks being good. I can look at the standings, and guess what? That tells me the Knicks are good. Just like all other teams that are leading their divisions are good. Or do you not understand that concept?
When we went 8-1, was anyone thinking, "oh boy we are going to play near .900 ball the rest of the way!!!"
Okay, so maybe I was, but I tempered my homerism with the statement about what this team was, deep, old, partial to breaking down, and hopefully going to get a nice mid-season boost from two of it's best stars.
Try and temper your "Knicks suppose be good than better have stealth home record" somberism with the same amount of cool collectedness.
Beat the honeynuts off the C's!!!!
Always having to play catch up for the rest of the game. I know every fan base
claims to get the short end of the stick in regards to officiating, but I have
noticed a disturbing trend. When teams come in looking to play physical, the
refs "let them play." When the Knicks start playing physical back, then all of
a sudden the refs decide to tighten up the game by calling ticky tack fouls
and techs on our guys for complaining.
Two fouls that didn't decide the last game, but aren't called against the majority
of the league are Tyson's tech after a dunk (reminiscent of Shump's dunk on KG last year)
and the travel call on Amare, which should've been an and one.
Again, there are a lot of factors to the recent losses, but this team does not get the
respect that it deserves ,especially at home, from the refs.

God bless ya & god bless americaBeing unable to match up size wise with Tyson as our only big and being physically out muscled by a bigger team does not equate soft. At least that is not how I see it.
Well soft has nothing whatsoever to do with being big or physical lumbering presences that's not what we're talking bout'
Not playing soft is getting after guys man-to-man on defense, rotating to contest on team D,
Not being soft is getting after opponents & fightin for rebounds on both sides of the glass/boards irregardless of size,
Not!! Being soft is being pesky on the ball defending, & not shy away from physical contact to get a steal or disrupt
the opponent. Not being soft is if you go to basket & get hard fouled Or knocked on your as_s then next time go to basket trple times the force & try to score even if this time you knock some opponent on their butts.
This isnt rocket science, guys from old days like Celts Paul Silas 6 7' center & Norm Van Lier Bulls 6 foot
Pg played that way reason CELTs & BULLs was successful, in 70s
Same as 80s Lakers & Pistons,
Same as 90s Jordan Bulls, Hakeem Rockets,
Same as 2000's Spurs, LAL, Pistons, Celts & Heat, Mavs is why those teams never got pushed around thus won titles
That is nba basketball despite if you not hittin 3s or offensive game fails like Ny
These things i explain is the little things in the BIG picture of getting respect & being elite
