Knicks · Remember Before the Season Melo Said He Would Do What it Takes To Win? (page 10)

I don't think he's a troll. Just polarizing! What gets under peoples skin is that he's a scarred Knick fan who isn't afraid to show the wounds
Its a fan site and I don't understand the sheer anger some have directed to him....this is the internet folks, no need to get so bent out of shape.
Sure he loves Lin and misses Gallo. I miss Jamal and David Lee.
People say guys like him are ruining the site but, guys really go at him and it tends to cause the hijacking of threads where no one is really involved but TK and those trying to prove him wrong.
A little civility goes a long way and sometimes we have to agree to disagree instead of having 10+pages of guys going back and forth without bringing anyone around to their perspective
TKF will usually back things up with a statistical slant but tries.
NYMental does take anything that does not sniff with postive vibes and go off.
My take is the "UK" is not "all things positive". Its a fan site but not a "praise only" site. Maybe Nickelodian can make a page for those who don't like to hear some things.
Y'all can argue it all or just let the season unfold into the truth that it will be.
Sometimes its just ok to chill, watch the games and enjoy.
Y'all know where I stand. the Somber and Haters feel like the Starphuchs defend too much to justify the Moobyistic fever. The Starphuched don't want negativity because it does not fit in with the fables told.
It all gets sorted out on the court.
What we know: Knicks have a real nice record and the potential to finish top 4, but can easily slip to 6-7th..
We are not deep at the Point. I doubt Kidd can sustain starter minutes and Priggy has a ceiling. No young point to step up.
To get Stat to start we need Camby and Sheed.
Jr is inconsistant and its why he is here and inexpensive. Amare and melo are showing they can co-exist but small sample and have not been tested yet. We just don't know. Fables depicting hope or the past regressions remind the Sombe4 how fragile it all is.
Argue all you want boys, or just watch the games and see it unfold!

personally I have no problem with a negative statement but, it does get to me that after a good win, you can come here and not see a single positive mention which, was the case most of yesterday morning. It doesn't/didn't piss me off but, it does bother me.
"I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win."

There weren't much threads after the game because it was a game against the pathetic Orlando Magic. Im assuming most didn't even bother to watch expecting a boring blowout.
Also there is not much to talk about as the Knicks are finally close to full strength and trying to develop an identity. We don't know if from here on out we will see the November Knicks or the one that went 8-10 in 18 games or somewhere in the middle.
Having a tough time in the 1st half against Orlando 51-51 doesn't help define the team. Therefore not much to talk about either positive or negative.
Knicks win 8 straight or lose 2 straight and there will be plenty to talk about.
For example this thread was created after going 8-10 in 18 games and embarrassed by the pathetic sixers

yeah, we covered that yesterday. At the time there were NO active posters but, a bunch of negative threads were raging. Gunsnewing (I think it was you- actually went and made a positive statement to keep me from jumping off a cliff)

That would be in the game threads right?

Felton doesn't even exist as a PG in Centrist land?

Nope. His advanced stats will show you that he sucks and 28 is obviosuly over the hill.

In Basketball-Reference heaven, any good Felton does for our franchise is a small sample size and aberration, and the bad games and losses is the norm.

It was just a question fellas.
Enjoy the game tonight! Apparently, the media also agrees that all that's important is JKidd is back tonight!
Think of it this way, I seriously believe Nalod is subliminally trying to add to the chip on Ray's shoulder. He's no Centrist! He knows Ray plays better being overlooked, underappreciated and ignored!
Well that he's done. While playing out of position too. Melo promised our fan base that he'd lead us to victories and now we're First Place of our Atlantic Division while being only a 1/2 game behind Miami for First Place of the entire Eastern Conference. 44 games into the regular season at that. During only Melo's first (full) season as a Knick too. Exciting times.
We're now 26-11 during the 37 games in which Melo has played. 26-11. Does anyone know the exact winning percentage of this? I believe it's a winning percentage of 70.2% to be exact. Could be wrong though.
Even tonight Melo came though. His shooting percentage wasn't the greatest gong 7/22 from the floor, but Melo contributed in a big time way. 25 points. 8 boards. 6 assists. 1 steal. +19. Also had Milwaukee in early foul trouble. Of those 6 assists? 4 of them were assists in which resulted in 3 pointers. 25 points off buckets along with another 16 points off assists. Melo contributed to 41 of our 96 points tonight.
26-11 during games in which Melo has played. That's a winning percentage of 70.2%.

i find it almost useless to talk about any other aspect of this team... simple because you will get a few posters who honestly care about discussing other aspects of this team outside of carmelo and his quest for MVP and bringing peace and balance to the universe.... I like amare, but if I talk about him, then you will get those who feel I am now hyping him up to put down carmelo.. for me, the joy of watching this team will come when carmelo and a few others on this team are gone.. hopefully it is soon....

lol. You're not enjoying our current season? You my friend, are not a Knicks fan. Sorry. But you're not.
Our Knicks feature a 26-11 record during games in which Melo has played. That's a winning percentage of .702% while Melo has ranked 2nd amongst all NBA players in scoring. Keep on scoring Melo, because when Melo not only plays but also scores? Our Knicks win at a clip of .702%.
During Melo's first (full) season as a Knick, our Knicks are 1st place of our Atlantic Division 44 games into the regular season. Something in which we haven't won since 1994 and/or only two times under the Ewing era.
During only Melo's first (full) season as a Knick, his Knicks are 2nd place of the Entire Eastern Conference 44 games into the regular season. Only 1/2 a game behind the Defending World Champions; The Miami Heat.
But yet, you can't enjoy our current season/team and/or the greatest overall Knick since Patrick Ewing and/or one of the greatest offensive forces our franchise has ever featured in Carmelo Anthony? That's nice to know.
Our Knicks were only 23-21 44 games into the regular season during Gallo, Wilson Chandler, Mozgov and AR's final season as a Knick. You know, the same players in which you talked up like no tomorrow. 23-21 44 games into the regular season. Those players on the Knicks roster before the Melo trade? Down right pathetic.
Also, for as much as you bash and/or harp all over Carmelo Anthony due to his playoff record, it's quite funny, because Melo led the Nuggets to the postseason each and every year dating back to his rookie season. Got drafted by a laughing stock franchise but yet still managed to lead his Denver Nuggets franchise to the postseason each and every season including a trip to the Western Conference Finals. Your little hero in Gallo? During his first 4 seasons? Only two postseason appearances and guess what? Both were first round exits bwhahahahahahaha. If Gallo's Nuggets even make the postseason here in 2012-2013? Gallo will once again, be eliminated during the first round of the playoffs.
Mention Melo not leading his team(s) out of the first round of the playoffs again TKF (as you've done for oh so many years now) and I'll continue to stuff Gallo down your throat while talking basketball. Last but not least, I really hope you enjoy our Knicks improving to 27-11 tonight (during games in which Melo has played/led the way).

You defend melo like you defend your favorite comic book hero. Your becoming unreadable.
