Well if we actually played any defense it would come down a bit.

very good point. its easy to shoot for a good percentage when the defense doesnt pressure you

The sad thing is the Hawks are probably the most offensively challenged team in the league.

Exact opposite. They light it up with Korver, Horfod, Smith & Teague
Sangfroid @ 1/27/2013 8:42 PM
Now if we could just concentrate on that little thing called DEFENSE
mrKnickShot @ 1/27/2013 8:42 PM
Amare did not even try to get down the court on defense.
I love offensive amare
dk7th @ 1/27/2013 8:42 PM
Are there any true two-way players on this team?

Not zero sum-melo he never hustles.

JR never passes to Amare on the pick n roll NEVER. Terrible IQ. Wish the coach would teach him pick n roll

playa2 @ 1/27/2013 8:43 PM
The knicks playing team defense 90% mental and 10% physical

yeah, last night it was the 76ers, couple nights ago the same was said about the Hornets....some people just need to give it a rest with overreacting.
I'm far from happy with our D at the moment, but calling every team we hate "the worst offensive team" when they score is just pointless.
Travla @ 1/27/2013 8:43 PM
Nothing going to the hoop.... only 12 ft attempts.

that was Amare who did not get down on horford

StarksEwing1 @ 1/27/2013 8:44 PM
our defense is starting make MDA's defense look good
NYDiva @ 1/27/2013 8:44 PM
Really poor defensive effort tonight. Exact opposite of the Boston game, in which the O struggled, but the D was solid.
dk7th @ 1/27/2013 8:44 PM
We should be crushing this team but our defensive intensity is not there.

They have no one that can put he ball on the floor - except Teague. Korver is hot and cold, Horford and Smith are both good but cannot create. If we could just defend Teague properly they would look completely ordinary on offense and def not shoot 60%

dk7th wrote:Here's the problem with Melo: he is so in love with himself he forgets to play any defense. Terrible defense by him when he plays good offense. And if he's off he sulks and doesn't play defense. This is why I say he is closer to a zero-sum player, a fool's gold player.

Melo is on a n absolute tear right now keeping us in it and you feel the need get on your soap-box and spew your agenda-based nonsense about how much you hate Melo? In this game thread during this game? We heard you the first time you started posting about how much you hate Melo. Why keep repeating the obvious? What else you got?

Hate melo? How easy for you to say. The dude does not play well on the uphill side of the court when things are going well for him personally on the downhill side. He is an undedicated defender and that I cannot abide.
