if you don't have anything to add to this site, kindly leave.

obviously i have a lot to add,

but where are we right now martin? you're staring a 46 win team in the face and the first round exit that usually comes with it,

am i angry? yea, as a knicks fan i'm fuming mad, the donnie walsh rebuild was for nothing,

jamal crawford and zbo could've been a fine core,

if i come off with the sandpaper here, that's fair, i appreciate your subtle nudge in the right direction, i will turn down the notches with maybe a few days leave to let the leaves settle

At no point were Zach and Crawford a fine core. Not then and not now.

they started 6-2 with mda,

i know a 6-2 start doesn't mean much but they were clicking and guys were happy, plus that team had David Lee,

there were two teams that were torn to shreds in the Donnie Walsh rebuild:

first, the zbo, jamal dlee team, which could win 45 games handily (which is what i project this team to win THIS Year)

and then the amar'e felton gallinari team, which also could win 45 to 50 games easily,

my biggest gripe and really my heart aches because of this, is that we have essentially spun our wheels in the mud but we have not done so quietly, we have splashed the mud all over the village because of the hype surrounding Carmelo

I don't know if you were in a coma during the Isiah era but Crawford and Randolph were awful players for us and never won more than 33 games. There is nothing to suggest a team like that, which would play zero defense, would win 45 games.

i'm not sure if you're intentionally misreading my posts,

but zbo and jamal were doing well under new coach mda,

and zbo and jamal have both proven to be valuable pieces on winning teams since leaving new york,

the isiah era, regardless of players, was a poisoned well so we should not even look back to those years,

but since donnie was hired, two teams worth building with were destroyed and we have only a 45 or 50 max win team to show for the years of planned self sabotage

Can we sign Houston or Sprewell? Both are in good shape and barely older than Kurt Thomas. If we're going to go all out... let's go all out! Waive James White immediately.

Crazy that Kmart is younger than all the Vets at 35 . Even younger than Prigioni

J O'Neal is only 34 like Kobe, Same 1996 draft both straight out of high school

Ha I was in 7th. Thats around the time I started watching the Knicks religiously. The Iverson, Kobe, Nash, Allen, Marbury, Jneal draft. Hell of a class

Then PJ Brown/Chaaalie Ward happened

I was in the 7th too on the 20/20 club. ONly playing when there was a blowout but I was the only 7th grader on the team so I still had class cred.

Damnit man! Just got home from work to see we've traded Brewer for a 2nd rounder while signing Kenyon Martin?!?!? I'm loving it. Kenyon Martin is a player I've been screaming for since dating back to last offseason before he signed with LAC. Four things are guaranteed with Kenyon Martin. 1.) He'll play with toughness down low. 2.) He'll give you minutes off the bench. 3.) He'll bring instant high-energy off the bench and 4.) He'll play hard each and every time up & down the court. Charles Barkley even loves this move, which is saying something...

Last year with the Clippers: 22.4 minutes, 5.2 points, 4.3 boards, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.

We need floor spacing, small ball, fresh legs, trapping defense like we had day 1...sorry but fuck Kmart.

I want to see Kmart guard Lebron

Will Woodson switch though?

Damn, so you only started watching the Knicks religiously back in 1996-1997? Which means you pretty much missed out on the entire early through mid 90's era against our true Rivals of the 1990's. Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. You also missed out on 3 of our 6 postseason series against Reggie Miller and the Indiana Pacers. Although you did catch our postseason rivalry against Hardaway/Mourning and the Miami Heat.

Nothing against our newer generation fans, but would've sucked to miss out on Ewing during his prime years and/or the Bulls and half the Pacers rivalry.

I watched since 94 & 95 when I became a Knicks fan mainly because of the playoffs. But not every single game until I was 12. I saw how much of a warrior Ewing was in those playoff series. And Ewing was still dominate in 96. Then 97 Andrew Lang broke his wrist and he could never stay healthy again. It does suck that I was too young to catch Ewing in his prime but it would've made it even harder since Ewing retired without a ring. All I wanted was for the Knicks to win one for Pat. At the time it meant more to me then the Knicks actually winning a ring.

You are lucky have have been watching Ewing religiously since the 80s eventhough you are a few yrs younger than me. I was only 6 in 1989

Wouldn't be surprised if Kmart get a lot of time at SF over Novak. Especially when we face Lebron

I still think Kidd is a SG at this point in his career.

He is. Just not starting SG

I know we will see strong hedging off of the PnR action.

It's funny/weird how ex Knicks are judged much differently when compared to current Knicks, in regards to the definition of winning and/or being a winner.

I'm not sure how you can consider Randolph as a winner since leaving New York.

In 08-09 his Clippers went 13-26 during games in which Zach Randolph played. He also missed 27 games due to injury back in 08-09. Clippers failed to make the postseason. In 09-10 Randolph failed to make the postseason once again, this time with Memphis. Another below .500 losing record too. In 2010-2011 made the playoffs as the 8th seed and became eliminated during the 2nd round. Last year made the postseason as a 4 seed but lost during the first round.

So, I'm really not sure how you can consider Randolph, of all players, a valuable piece on winning team(s) since leaving New York. It's been 4 years since he left the Knicks. Failed to make the postseason twice followed by a 2nd round elimination then a 1st round exit last season. Not a lot of "winning".

Same goes for Jamal Crawford. A winner since leaving New York? Think again.

Crawford went 19-35 during his first season with Golden State back in 08-09. Failed to make the postseason. In 09-10 made the postseason before being eliminated during the 2nd round. In 2010-2011 made the postseason and was once again eliminated during the 2nd round. Last year played with Portland and completely missed the playoffs with a losing record.

It's been 4 years since Crawford left New York. Two failures of making the postseason and two first round exits. If a current Knick were to lead us to two second rounders but yet two seasons of no playoffs? You wouldn't consider that winning basketball, now would you?

Also, not sure how you can state both Crawford and Randolph did well together under Mike D'Antoni. Both Randolph and Crawford only played 11 games together (under Mike D'Antoni). And our Knicks only went 6-5 during those 11 games.

Not sure how you can state that Randolph and Crawford were doing "well together" under coach Mike D'Antoni. Not only does 6-5 say otherwise, but the year before D'Antoni joined the Knicks, our Knicks went 23-46 during games in which both Crawford and Randolph played as Knicks together.

A combined record of 28-51 during the games in which both Crawford and Randolph played together as Knicks.

Alan Hahn agreed with me that we should start:
Tyson
Amare
Melo
Shump
Felton

And hinted at Woodson going for it as long as Kmart, Camby or Sheed is back to backup Tyson

Listened to you?

Just about everyone has asked for Tyson, Stoudemire, Melo, Shump and Felton as our starting 5 although I feel Stoudemire doesn't fit with our team. I could be wrong, but I believe everyone dating back to the offseason has wanted to see Ray, Iman, Melo, Amar'e and Tyson as our starting 5...

I honestly dont want him in the starting lineup, he wont get the ball.

At least off the bench he can be productive, and the correct blame can be assessed.

All of the starters are playing like doo-doo.

Yes Alan agreed with me. We just had a conversation on radio
