Felton isn't an orchestrator type pg. One of the problems with Felton is that opponents don't respect his shooting and his passing is at best below average for a PG.
We could do worse than Ray minus the shooting. He's an average starting PG. "At best below average" is pretty harsh. He makes the necessary passes and is a decent decision maker when he's not trying to prove himself against Linsanity. But he's not wowing anyone either. He'll never be a Rondo or Paul if that's where you're aiming for.

nope. I developed a halfway decent percentage from 3 but, he was an awful shooter in general.

One thing I liked about Morey and the Rockets was that they were not afraid to bring in young unproven talented players. They cut Dequan Cook and brought in James Anderson. They brought in Patrick Beverley straight from euro league.
Knicks need to get some young blood in here. We need another backup PG since we just signed KMart for the frontline.
How about some of these D-League players that are playing pretty well in the D-League.
Shelvin Mack - 22 years old. 6'3". Averaging 17.3 pts and 6.3 assists. Shooting .391 from 3 pt land.
or
Courtney Fortson - 24 years old. 5'11". Averaging 18.0 pts and 6.3 assists. Shooting .415 from 3 pt land.
BRIGGS - Do you know these players?

When you state that Felton has been "one of the most inefficient PG's in the league throughout his career", please, enlighten us with proof.
Name the PG's (and stats) of the elite PG's. That's a start.
Then name the PG's (and stats) of the very efficient PGs. Give us a better understanding.
Followed by naming the PG's (and stats) of the inefficient PG's in the league. You know, the "Felton's".
Or, how about, you stop talking out of your ass with one line fillers of insults, but yet, no insight and/or knowledge of the game of basketball whatsoever when posting?. One of the most inefficient PG's? Nice to know. Now, enlighten us with actual proof and/or basketball analysts ranking Felton against others. Afterall, he's only been one of the most inefficient PG's in the league since being drafted. Can you prove that? Or, is this just another one line filler?

Right. Anyone who claims that Ward was a better PG when compared to Felton must have a very shaky memory. I loved Ward's heart, especially on defense, but I always hated the fact that we lost Mark Jackson. Charlie Ward was no Mark Jackson. Knicks fans weren't pleased with Ward of all PG's. Raymond Felton may not be Mark Jackson either, but Raymond Felton is leaps and bounds better than Ward ever was. Ward could never attack opposing defenses. Felton can.
Ray:: 573 games played. 517 games started. FG % of .411%. 13.5 points, 6.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 2.6 turnovers per game. 2.9 FT's attempted per game.
Ward: 630 games played. 285 games started. FG % of .408%. 6.3 points, 4.0 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.6 turnovers per game. 1.0 FT's attempted per game.
Felton does need to improve his shot selection, and attack a little more, but to say Ward was a better PG when compared to Felton? Crazy.

The shot selection and rebounding are really the only differences. Ward would never shoot his team out of games.

Alan Hahn Raymond Felton started off the game aggressive, looking to push the pace. But then he stopped. Why? He explained: Foul trouble.
Felton was in attack mode from the start, going right at Kyle Lowry and trying to get the usually methodical Knicks into a more up-tempo attack. Felton had seven points in the first quarter and the Knicks had 7 fast-break points in the quarter.
But Felton finished with just 10 points, which is the same amount of fast break points the Knicks finished with. After starting 3 of 5, Felton was 1 for 5 over the last three quarters. He had just three assists in 28 minutes.
He picked up two fouls in the first quarter and headed to the bench. Then he went to the third quarter and was whistled for two more fouls. He played the fourth quarter with four fouls and admitted it changed his approach.
"It kind of changes how aggressive you play when you get a couple of fouls," Felton said. "I think it dictates a little bit."
Felton's aggressiveness with the ball was one of the primary reasons why the Knicks had success early this season. He controlled the offense and also looked to score. Since his return from his broken pinkie injury, Felton hasn't been nearly as aggressive and the offense hasn't found that rhythm it had early in the season.

Do Alan Hahn and Ray Felton realize that we weren't winning after the 1st quarter we were only tied? And that Felton didn't pick up his 3rd and 4th fouls until midway through the 3rd?

Felton is horrible he has time to turn it around
but dont count on it, I trusted Raymond before but not this time ..he's done stick a fork in Felton if he continues to get beat by PGs most of the rest of year
