Well, he picks on the guys, Copeland earlier this season and here Novak, who will not talk back, so that Woodson can appear to have some control over the team,
when in reality, if he said something like that to Carmelo or JR Swagthang, he would stand a chance of getting lip back and undermining his authority,
to my mind, this is faulty coaching, it's cutting corners and eventually gets exposed,
you can do things the right way or you can do things that appear to be right for a while, but are not really right,
only two ways to do things.

I personally think that Woodsons putting Novak in a bad position. Hes brought here to shoot 3s and there is not effort made to get him open. We all know his defense sucks.

Yes I do. I also realize the Knicks signed him anyway knowing the same thing. Instead of throwing him out there and expecting him to become a better defender overnight, they should get him some open shots or just not play him until garbage time.

You do realize that when he got cut by the Spurs and we picked him up off waivers Grunny became anointed? Then you had legions picking up lead pipes clanking them "Run This Town" style saying he's better than Kyle Korver daring you to beg differ....my how the times change quicker than the seasons

Who was saying that? Knicks needed bodies. We have no cap space. He is on a reasonable deal and can be moved if necessary.

Sorry, after going all in on this roster and trading away or allowing to leave virtually every asset we had outside of Shumpert I expected us to be title contenders. By the way, Melo is not an MVP and he isn't even close to Lebron, Durant, CP3, or Tony Parker.
it's a terrible sign when the coach chews out minor players like that and not the main players. double standards. all the effort that woodson made to ingratiate himself to his favorite players prior to the season was not healthy for a team now under adversity. if you can't berate chandler, melo, stat, felton, smith then you don't have control of the team.
popovich had no qualms chewing out the greatest power forward ever on national tv. and those guys play hard every minute on the defensive end.
