i wish we had a young guard who can score at will like that
They are both small, super fast and get buckets but Steph Curry is WAY WAY WAY better than Monta Ellis was.
Much better shooter. Much better PG instincts.
I can agree that Monta isn't the PG Steph is, but he once shot 53% from the floor. Before he got traded to the Bucks, he had solid shooting seasons for a guard. He once averaged 26 on 45% shooting. Another year, he averaged 24 on 45% shooting. I think he gets a bad rap. He's in a bad system in Milwaukee.
btw with Kyrie down Shaun Livingston aka our backup PG next season when Kidd retires has been playing SOLID.
He's getting paid LESS than $1M this season....

i doubt the warriors would do that

Oh yeah. Him and Brandon Jennings are terrible.
I think if Monta got drafted by the Spurs he'd be an all star every year. Definitely has talent.
My biggest knock on him is defense.
Every time I find myself going nuts over Kyrie Irving, he's out with some injury. And this goes back to Duke, as I am a Duke fan. He's a baaaaaaaad man, but he's got to start staying healthy.

Pop would have made him such a wonderful player. Especially if he got to him in his early years, when he was shooting 53%, 48% from the field.
Sometimes it's about the coaching and the system and how players play within it.

this game is making me think of the Jordan Hill draft...
SIGH
Felton has been such a disappointment defensively. He wasn't this bad his first time with us.
Melo kind of getting into dueling mode here...

Lots of quick ass young guards in the league and Felton is a "vet" aka not as fast as them fresh young legs
Would we be getting killed if Lee was playing?
Curry's ankles don't last a full season

probably. This team lost its way in the end of December and has never recovered. This year might end up being one of those "what could have been" after the great start
