He's a bit below average on the perimeter but quite good at the rim. He gets twice as many good shots off per game as the average PG near the rim and hits at a good percentage. He's capitalizing on that strength effectively. It's OK for a young PG in his first full season to have areas to work on. He also has many strengths that he'll likely continue to refine.

This is the kind of stuff we needed in the offseason especially from the media who sways Dolan. Unfortunately everyone was focused on how "2010 2month stretch Felton under Dantoni" was a better PG than Jeremy Lin.

Unfortunately, they didn’t realize that it was D ’Antony who made Felton look like an All-star and he was no longer here.

Did MDA "make" Felton spiral to the crappy PG that he is/was before the trade to Denver?

No, Felton was and is a solid ROLE PLAYER, but there is no question that under MDA he looked like a near All-star caliber player.

He did to start the year as he did this year.

And as he has done both years, he jackknifed.

Please wake me when Lin gets as good as Steph Curry. Dude is way better than I thought he'd be.

Like I said, Felton is a solid player (and obviously will have his moments) but not the all-star player that he looked under MDA, due that’s not a secret.

A lot of it has to do with how Woodson doesn't put the ball in the PGs hands but rather have JR and Melo bring thee ball up and turn it over or chuck 30 foot 3's

Notice how Felton's assists are way down fromt he beginning of the year?

Maybe because teams figured out that instead of letting him pass, you make him shoot and badabing ...

MDA upped Duhon, Felton is a slight improvement over Duhon. Felton is a backup who couldn't start on Portland and Denver. He got beat out in Denver and in Portland he gave up because he couldn't win the starting job.

Anji @ 3/4/2013 10:28 AM
We traded he because he is an average point guard not worth that contract.

Amare Stoudamire if the 5th highest paid player in the league and not a top 50 player. We sign players like this all the time.

The Knicks went all in and they don't have the amnesty. So you overpay while you have your window. Lin always made the easy pass to get the open shot, something felton will never do. I would imagine Chandler, Amare, Melo and everyone else would benefit.

We need 4 good games out of Felton and JR in order to get out of the first round of the playoffs. Because the Bulls, Nets series are going 7. It would have been much easier to have another player that can get you 20 on the team. Worry about the salary later. The first two years you have him for 10MM combined.

Is there anyone that expects > than 30 percent shooting from Felton and JR in the playoffs?

Has Lin learned how to play D yet? Dude was a turnstile in NYC.

Yup. He holds his own. He can defend 1-on-1. His problem is with really quick PGs like Lillard, Parker and CP3. Everybody else, he holds his own.

Bonn1997 @ 3/4/2013 11:41 AM
If he hasn't, then he'd fit right in with our backcourt!
NYKBocker @ 3/4/2013 11:47 AM
They also have to guard him. Dude is unguardable right now unless you blitz him with 2 guys like how the Miami Heat does. Rockets give him help on that though because Harden and Parsons can handle the ball.

Look at the division there is/was Rondo and Dwill. Those guys toasted LIN. Also Holiday is no slouch. Lin offense is not the problem. This team has more than enough scoring. Its the bullfighting defense that's the problem. Before he got hurt it seemed like other teams were picking on the dude. See Dwill for an example.

Definitely knows how to get his team going. Lin was making Jefferies look good and that's was hard to do.

Unguardable? Come on now. I know you most been his biggest fan to make that claim. Can you provide any link to ANY NBA expert, current player,of former player that is on the record stating Jeremy Lin is unguardable?

So did the PHX Suns in regular seasons past. In the post season teams clamp down.

Imagine if Lin were still with us? Lin loves New York. He loves the Knicks. Imagine Lin and Carmelo together just tearing it up night after night.

Carmelo didn't want to share his toys with lin.... he felt it was "ridiculous" that lin was offered that kind of money... so there you go...

Lin was not traded. He betrayed his benevolent benefactor who in a fit of anger banished the ungrateful traiter into the sea of cybermetric logic than pay the dreaded hyper tax in year three!

The CBA turned on Dolan and Lin choose wisely.

It sucks, but it happens.
