The Knicks should have stuck to the 22minutes thing. The Knicks always panick when someone gets injured.

This makes it all the more strange why no minutes for Cope! Even KMart got a DNP for some reason recently. Woody could easily find a way to limit STATS minutes or rest him a game when he needed to. I don't understand his resistance to using his bench forwards.
I think he keeps dogging it in practice- every time there's a clip on msg.com from the Mike Woodson show, he is telling Cope off for being lazy- here, scroll down to vids and click on show more until you see the "coach knows best one"- you'll see him getting told off right at the start:

Shame because we could really use his youth and scoring.
Reports are that Cope plays tonight. KMart's first game as a Knick really was OKC. He wasn't part of the rotation yet so I think that was why he sat. If Martin is back next year the Knicks might want to go every other game with Martin/Amare. Martin plays all out but also has had micro fracture surgery on both of his knees. These are guys that the Knicks will need in the spring so keeping them healthy will be paramount.
Woody needs to cut the BS! It's not like the team plays some elite level of defense and rebounding and only Cope is messing that up. Woody hasn't been able to get anyone to defend consistently. Picking on a useful player like Cope makes no sense when we need quality minutes at the forward spot. OK u wanna wait on KMart but why not get some minutes from Cope who's been here all season?
Copeland isn't a difference maker. The guys defense is awful.
This is too bad, but hopefully nothing serious. Perhaps they just need to keep Amare to 25 or so minutes a game. Use him sparingly and only go above 25 when needed.

Dude hadn't even played all season and his knees are sore.

I wanted Amare to start so we could score more points but also stay within the 30 min.

that would involve him having more wear on those knees during those 30 minutes going against starters.
Ok, Im losing hope in this guy, what a let down..
Suns back office must be chuckling there asses off.shaking there haeds..
Either that or the knicks medical staff is pure trash

really can't blame the medial staff...they didn't give him an uninsured contract.

Ha Ha So is almost everyone else on the Knicks. So why single him out when all of them stink on defense.

Damn! What is he playing on? Toothpicks?
He has 90 yr old knees folks at what point is this going to sink in?

This. Its not like this is his first game starting. He had chances. If he is not hitting shots hes a liabilty. Turnover s and no rebounding

He's better than Novak.
Thats not saying much.
Besides novak is their to hit open 3s. Copeland is not novak. He hit a couple doesnt mean he can fill novaks role. We have shooters scorers. Role players cant turn the ball over

Novaks not even hitting open 3s though. And he's not athletic enough to do anything else. Cope isn't a stud, but he's more serviceable than Novak right now.
knickscity wrote:30 minute limit, exceed it, and this is what you have.
This was obvious. Its like what happened to Johan Santana. The bottom line I dont think he can play more than 24-26 minutes and no back to backs. If they want to exceed it---theyll have no player who makes 30mm for 2.35 more years.
With that said we do need copelands scoring with both melo and amare out
Amare is like a used car. Not worth putting money into countless repairs

I agree Novak has been a major disappointment. Last year we all knew he couldnt defend but damn he was automatic from 3. Of course the second he signed his new deal he hasnt been close to what he was last year
