He had the most playing time he's gotten all season in that Harlem Shake video haha.

Problem I was worried about since the offseason is the domino effect- having older players is okay if you can limit their minutes- the problem is once our main younger players to down, those older guys have to play more minutes, then they go down.

Now that Amar'e, Tyson, KT and Sheed are out we're in danger of breaking k-mart and Camby, both of which are injury prone.

I knew Kurt was on some powerful Ish in order to play yesterday.....

I hope Kenyon's been eating his Wheaties. I foresee 48 mins/night in his near future.

Chandler with a bulging disc is of more concern to me. Probability of Melo opting out is increasing by the day.
NYY1NYK2 @ 3/19/2013 5:48 PM
bulging discs take longer than a week. And then you are no where near 100 percent to be running up and down immediately after

It was very risky bringing in old guys to back up Chandler and it blew up on us, at least so far. Hopefully Chandler can get better but 1 week isn't exactly what is needed to heal a bulging disk - it's a very very touchy thing and knowing our medical staff it might be a rupture and they just ain't saying anything.

Sheed isn't going to play for us again this year, as well as Thomas it looks like. We should try to pick up someone for later on but till then we are going to go small ball.

There must be somebody somewhere that can help us out. Moz would look great in a Knicks Uni right now, but I bet we get him next year.

Dude averages 32 minutes a game. Come on man.

He is 5 more than when at Dallas. He needs to get back down there, guy has been in the league for a while.
Where are we going?

he's going to get a lot of minutes. hopefully he doesn't suck. the fact that I have to rely on Kenyon Martin right now makes me sick

Isn't Pierce playing with a bulging disc? It might be something pinched in his spine.

Didn't the Mavs have Brendan Hayward backing up Tyson? The Knicks don't have that luxury. 32 minutes for a guy at his age with his contract and talent seems about right.

Really gotta waive sheed or KT. We seriously need able bodies at this point before Martin and Camby breakdown. They are our only 2 bigs that can play tomorrow..
callmened @ 3/19/2013 9:36 PM
am I missing something? our weakness is guard...how come we dont cut white, sheed or kurt and sign delonte west?
BRIGGS @ 3/19/2013 10:03 PM
Call up Hilton Armstrong. Hes got some old school coaching from Uconn hes a defense first guy and his socring touch has gotten better. He is 6-11 260.

Can anyone we sign play in the post season at this point?

March 1st was the cutoff. A player must be on the roster by March 1st. Even when initial reports stated we were interested in Delonte, it was mentioned he'd be signed in the off-season

The March 1st rule only applies to players that were previously on another nba team this season.

Threads like this make me think . . . yup, it's a curse. Maybe it's the ghost of old Penn Station seeking revenge . . . some lost burial ground under MSG . . . Van Gundy's Civic, nah, that's too recent for this curse . . . what could it be? . . . Dolan insulted some elderly bluesman with an awful cover . . . Stern really did fix the 1985 draft . . .

I'm not sure what caused the Knick curse but I'm starting to be relieved that Curry ended up with the Warriors. Curry in a Knicks uniform would be a Curry on crutches getting shipped off as contract filler to Denver.

5 minutes doesn't sound like much, but it's 20% more than what Dallas was doing. The coach likes to play small ball anyway. Luxury? There is a reason our team is decimated. There is a reason that now Melo is sitting out. I know the coach is in a tough spot and glad it's not me, but many have said to be careful with Tyson before.

Earlier in the year and last year as well, MANY fans were commenting that Tyson was playing too many minutes. He had injury problems in the past, the 2 years prior to Dallas he only played around 50 games a year. Dallas then cut his minutes and he was super healthy.

Each player is different and we need to be careful with Tyson. I think there is a reason why people sometimes say he isn't into games. With the way he likes to play, he just can't keep that energy up all game imo.

Sometimes less is more.

I wonder how long Chandler has had this. It might explain why his production has decreased.
