Wow he really looks good--like two years ago with Denver--he kind of looked shot last year w the Clippers. He still has that nice spring and plasy really good D smart player. I wonder what this team wouldve been with him here all year. We still have a lot of pieces and if Melo is Ok we will be a challenge to contend with.
I like playing two PGs Ive always liked that if you can do it. Ray can flair to 2G and what happens is we become more mobile and harder to defend when you have a PG who likes to dish and knows where to go with it--the offense looks much better. I would keep the team like this Prigioni and Felton starting. Also one more shout out to Copeland--he is a very decent player. He should be a staple on the knicks bench for the next 3-4 years. He's better than Novak.

I mentioned Pablo Prigioni was the best pure PG on the team, gave you his credentials and accomplishments over the past 10 or so ,and you never gave him any props, but instead said he needs to get out of the way he's too old. SMH
I definitely think Pablo should be starting. The fluidity on offense is 10x that when he is running the point, instead of Ray. He also helps limits Kidd's minutes, so Kidd can have effective nights like last night.
Now with Shump banged up and Woody's stubborn refusal to start JR, I think Pablo starting may actually happen. Still think a West signing and White dumping should happen.
It's funny, Kenyon, the Melo look-alike, might deflect some of that Melohate.
I had to replay some of the Jazz highlights cause I thought, "wait a minute, Melo didn't play, so who hit that jumper?"

Maybe the whole team could wear headbands...and smile alot. And hoist threes! The NY Mellows!

I like it when we win.
Prigs should be getting 50% of Cope's pay.

You forgot about the one sleeve they both wear.
Now they both catching alleys it's getting harder and harder. All you can do is wait until they shoot. One jumper is smooth and the other jumper is eww.
I agree - Play Pablo!!
Felton is not good in this system. I much rather we had kept the young guy from last year who is playing very well in Houston. But enough about that.
If Shump i sout for any time, then I would go with.
Pablo
Felton
Copeland
Melo
KMart
for now.
In the long run,
Pablo
Shump
Melo
Kmart
Tyson
Kidd
Felton
Copeland (STat - when he is back)
Camby
Novak
White

kind of agree. I really dislike Novak these days.

They are kind of the same player to me. When their shots are not falling they are useless. Yes, Copeland can do a little more.

Novak is one-dimensional in his one dimension: 3-point shooter.
Cope can score outside, posting, PnR, midrange. That makes him a much harder to guard and actually useful.
Well copeland is perfect player to bring off the bench for Melo without much dropoff. He is Melolite. Knicks should def sign him to a small extension

Can they do that? D the Knicks have any rights to Copeland. He'll definitely garner some attention after the season is over.

Agree on that. Tired of Novak passing up one opportunity after another. Has to give Woodson a legitimate reason to play him as much as he has. Novak has shown that he can drain a 12-15 footer, even the occasional layup. Time to be more aggressive.

So true. He scores it nicely off of ISO, no play needed. Rarely passes and defends . Very simular types of players.

Actually Cope does makes passes and in fact he limits his bad shots, which is why he's such an efficient scorer. He's been working harder to defend and rebound, but fans don't give him any credit for doing things better. Cope scores at 70% at the basket!!! Cope actually passes more than Novak. The more he plays the more comfortable he gets at working with his teammates, but Woody is the one that wasn't playing the kid enough minutes to gain that comfort level.

Cope is without a doubt one of the teams most EFFICIENT scorers. So he's a guy you WANT to be taking a lot of shots. Based on how he scores the ball, you actually don't want him to pass it up all the time. He should be finishing plays. Cope should be one of the answers to our scoring problems off the bench.

its very true, he is a good offensive threat off the bench, he is efficient which makes him so good. He has shown the ability to block a shot here and there, similar to Amare too in that sense(Amare being much better shotblocker.) Copeland has exceptional footwork in the post also like Amare. I'd say he is Amare-light , and he will hit the 3 too if we are trying to space the floor for Melo or Amare.

Yea he can score in a variety of ways like Melo

So. when all is said and done, the problem isn't Copeland. The problem is Woodson. With as porous as the Defense is, he always seems to go after Cope.
I like anything that cuts kidds minutes down and allows him to have some juice for the playoffs.
Yea let kidd get his legs back so those threes he hit at a 45% clip returns
