thing is you can have a very bad ankle injury...

tear ligaments, severe sprain at a minimum that would keep him out long enough

That's what I meant to say above, tear a ligament. My last year in NY I rolled my ankle playing bball and tore a ligament. Was on crutches for 4 months and a cane for another one. Hope its nothing like that.
