Barkley was a punk and Oakley proved it on more than one occasion. Smacked his punk ass in the face because he owed him money and Barkley didn't do a damn thing.
Zach Randolph...who has he EVER punked. His reputation was inflated by his past entourage. True he beat up Rubin Patterson but, winning a fight doesn't make someone a tough guy.
Doctor J went to my high school and I have family members that know him. He was, as he came accross, a nice guy but someone that wouldn't back down. That doesn't make him a tough guy, that makes him a Man.

this is not MMA, this is a test of the will, a mental test.. name me one knick outside of kid who has proven himself tough, mentally tough in that area? and kid's role has been greatly diminished as the season moved along...
Not everyone is as mentally tough. Therefore it is imperative that those guys are protected especially when it comes to your star players. Basketball is a team sport. Every player has difficiences its whether or not you surround them with the right players to make things whole

but most of the guys you speak of don't even try to come across as tough guys. Like I said before, they are nice guys, kook cats but not tough guys. To be fake tough guy, you have to talk the talk without walking the walk. Since Tyson, JR and Amare aren't know for barking like they are tough guys, I don't see how you can call them fake.
