Breen does his best to be impartial, and that doesn't go down well on here.

He is quick to call melo out for a bad shot or to say the team is behind him this year but that wasnt the case last year etc. Breen was close to D'Antoni and feels that Melo was the reason Mike resigned. I really think you guys are over the top with this breen thing, the guy has been a knick fan since he could walk, I think some of you hate to here anything negative about melo, like he doesn't take bad shots, or had just 1 ast..

Breen does get a bit annoying with his biases. Imagine Marv and Van Gundy? That would be sweet. Marv was critical too, but he had that fan's perspective. Breen seems more aligned with the zebra and the league office. But Jeff is a great devil's advocate. Maybe Breen is just trying to add some drama to his calls. Plus, the Knicks have been having problems with the refs and getting calls, maybe ol' Mike is just finely tuned to the ref-player dynamic in games. Lord knows we've been on the wrong side of it a bunch this year, and still are a 2 seed.

Breen always sounds extra excited when the opposing team is winning or making a run, the shot clock could be running down and Melo has to shoot and Breen says "bad shot", he's annoying I don't like his nonsense he almost never criticizes the other team, go back and watch the Knick game vs Bulls last year when Melo hit those 2 three pointers , Rose was bricking up a storm taking wild shots and Breen was oohing and aaahing even when he missed saying what a great move, Melo was on fire and he was saying bad shot .

In my opinion Breen hate is based on his melo hate/D'Antoni love.

This is what some people don't hear when Mike Breen does Knicks games, because they feel just like Breen does concerning Melo. Very easy to understand the fans who appreciate Breens over the top negative commentating against Knicks top player. It's like he's speaking as if Danphoney is still coaching the knicks.

Same here. I watch all rocket games and I appreciate Breen more everyday.

This is why he should be dismissed. If he hates on Dolan prized player, wouldn't that be the equivalent to why we got rid of Marv Albert ?

Why do people let Breen get under their skin. Im not a Breen fan but i dont want anybody announcers kissing our ass. I'd rather be the underdog and prove people wrong

Breen annoys me when he refuses to acknowledge a blatantly bad call from the refs, even in the replay. I'm not really bothered about him not liking Melo- whatever announcer you get will have a disliking of some of the players.

I mean just listen to the Nets broadcast guy Ian Eagle or whatever. Awful. I can't stand when the announcer tries to be a focus of the actual game by screaming and being excited all the time

I love it when he says *BANGGGGG* although he sometimes gets very excited vs the Knicks as well
I think Marv Albert is one of the best announcers and would love to have him back
But compared to many announcers in local's sports announcers he is much more professional and not home team biased which I can't stand like Boston

He gives credit to ball movement, effort, team play and quality shots
Melo scored 36 points on nearly 30 attempts, it really isn't efficient at all, even though we got to Win
We cannot have him play this way vs the LEGIT contenders and definitely not vs Miami because they *Lebron/Wade* will be ready for those breaks to punish us that we cannot stop in transition
He did deliver in the start of the game and in the end when it counted, but we won mainly because of our DEF in additional to just poor TO's by Boston

Pablo is a big part of this equation with the right combination of team plays and Iso's, as he rewards a lot of good ball movement, PnR, hits the open man, gives it to players that get the ball in right spot, and combined with Iso plays

It seems the only ppl that have a problem with breen are the (melo can never take a bad shot) fans.

Listen to him more carefully when he's not calling a knick game and see if you agree with his calls, then ask yourself who's really being bias. If you think melo took 29 good shots your freaking blind.

I recall breen saying Melo started hot going 4 for 4 then went 0-5 finsihing the half 5 for 12, which meant in went 1-8 after the hot start. He forced some shots, held the ball too long, and had a couple TO's.. By half time everybody was questioning the too much meloball.

But since BREEN MADE SOME NEGATIVE COMMENTS about his play, and didn't sugar coated like a HOMER, he's being bias..

Breens not perfect, but I have had league pass for 7 years and some of the homers I hear are god awful.

The best to me is HUBBIE BROWN!!

I remember the play last night where JR was clearly fouled and went to the floor on one end and the Celltics got a turnover and JR Smith chased the play down from behind and got the steal on the other end of the floor. But from Breens mouth, JR was arguing with the Refs and mid sentence Magic appeared behind Pierce to get the steal.

I would rather listen to the other teams Board casters, at least I know where they are coming from.

How many Knicks factoids did Breen throw out when Melo/JR/Felton were taking shots???

How many bad shots did Breen call went the Celtics had the ball??? Yeah JVG didn't like either offense in the second half, but listening to Breen only ours was taking bad shots.

How times did you here Breen Call the Celtics for too much Iso in the 4th quarter??? They basically gave the game away trying to iso Jeff Green or PP, but breen didn't say anything.

Sucks when your own Announcer praises your team less than the other team in a close win like this. I hear it in SA, ATL, Indy, Brooklyn, MIL, ect. It's laughable that those guys actually commit on how good Melo, JR, even Felton are, instead of trying to be pure unbais Aholes towards there own team by kicking the right amount of dirt on them to seem like they are being fair.

That negative comment from Breen about JR's comeback to steal the ball was freaking unbelievable.
How about Pierce 2 bricks off the backboard and Breen just said he was way off, not that it was indeed "BAD SHOTS"

Breen's national coverage is totally different...He doesn't launch into his opinionated broadcast as frequently...He is actually pleasant to listen to when he isn't doing Knick games...We have a somber broadcaster...

This is why we have a distaste in our mouth when we are subject to him on MSG COVERAGE as hometown announcer he's a total different guy with some kind of vendetta against certain knick players.

I want Gus Johnson back!

He must want out of that contract a la Marv Albert...Probably wants to do games with his buddy MDA coaching..

The thing that kills me about Breen is that he is guilty of doing the exact thing he accuses Melo and JR of doing...He is clearly sulking after MDA/Knicks breakup and he blames Melo...He went on Michael Kay show and said that Melo is in NY to be a celebrity...Totally uncalled for..Is it too hard to ask him to be a professional and broadcast the games without his personal feelings getting the better of the broadcast...Isn't this the very thing he pouts constantly about when Melo and JR argue calls...Chandler cries about calls more than anyone and Breen never says a thing about Chandler...
