He DOES take the game personally. He was absolutely crushed by the trade from NY. He probably lapsed into a form of depression in Portland and substituted food as his comfort, as many, many people do.
Now that the playoffs are here and he senses the intensity, he responds with passion. His facial expression is one of determination. Felton, in fact, finished the game with seven boards, second-most on the team.

missed last night's game but got the Rewind on DVR.... I haven't seen Determined Felton since first month of season and before that the Felton/Amare in 2010. Good to have him back.
Kerr was spot on in the broadcast last night - the Celtics were boxing Melo off so he couldn't attack so Woody made the adjustment of having Fleton attack on the opposite side in the 2nd
That is phenomenal coaching as opposed to sitting on your hands. Take what the defense if giving you. Especially when they have Pierce on Felton
Can't underestimate Kidd's influence on him. At the start of the season Felton kept saying that Kidd was trying to teach him about having a second gear- about picking his moments. This past month he seems to have got it- he makes timely hoops just when we need them, he's been doing it all through the win streak. Really happy to see him playing well- he really wanted to be a Knick again despite us screwing him over the first time.
Playing at multiple speeds keeps the defenders off-balance. A lot of young players only know how to play fast - so they always rely on the first quick step. It might be okay for closers in baseball, when they only have to do their thing in spurts. But if you only throw fastballs, folks can easily make adjustments. When you can juke opponents, it makes you appear faster and makes the defender have to work harder.
If this is what Kidd has helped bring, well...that's great. He'd have been a great mentor for Lin. :)
I admit i was very hard on raymond this year but so far he has come up big in the playoffs. i mean he has done a great job on Pierce even though Pierce is 6 inches taller. he has also attacked the basket which we need to do in order to go far. Hopefully he keeps it up throughout the playoffs

Saturday the weak side came over to help and Ray would bail, which is ok. Usually it was Garnett. With him in foul trouble early last nite, they did not have the lenght and quickness he brings to close down a penetrating Felton.

Felton was having problems with single coverage as well until Woodson had his teammates alternate moving the ball up court and Felton had more space to attack the rim. Last night he blew right by defenders left and right. It was great.

Its funny to me how players grow and shrink or become fat or fit when their team start winning games or lose games.
After the game JR was a legit 6'8 according to Tim Legler.

Yeah, but I thought Avery Bradley was such a feared defensive stopper lol Bradley and Terry are doing a good job of reminding people why Ray Ray was a lottery pick. It helps that the Celtics have no shot blockers. Felt looks like the fastest guy on the court right now. I'm hopeful that he will stay health and continue attacking the rim when we play the Heat in the conference finals.

Felton has adapted his game to the situation. Somehow, he decided to follow the Earl Smith Jr example and go stronger to the rack. Unusual bursts of Speed.

GUYS, guys, come on now. We hate it when guys like TK (sorry about using you as an example TK) bring up Gallo and Lin in threads completely unrelated so, lets not do the same thing. I TOTALLY FEEL where you guys are coming from, I used to have a (fuk Lin) sig but, it wasn't the right thing to do and this probably isn't either.
