why would you do that? carmelo is a bigger target than crawford... Thats a legit point but its not like Melo was playing all that great that game anyway. Still I dont understand why more isnt being made out of how low it is to talk sh** about someones wife. All I hear on tv is that the Knicks should know the Celtics do this stuff.

what I don't get is that in pro sports you never know who you may end up teaming up with.. I do understand that trash talk is part of all sports, and part of gamesmanship.. but if you cross the line talking about someone's family, doesn't it ever occur that I may end up on the same team as this cat? what would you tell him? talking about your wife was just part of the game? really?

I couldn't care less whether it's the playoffs or not, leave derogatory comments about a players family should be left out of the game. I really wish it did get caught on audio over a national broadcast so they could do something about it. What if it was your wife, mother, sister or daughter that was being said about. As a woman, I wouldn't appreciate having my reputation dragged through the mud, regardless of how famous or wealthy I was. It's pretty f'ed up how they have to keep dragging Melo's family into it...especially when you think about his son Kiyan. It's probably very difficult for them as parents to keep this stuff from Kiyan when it's all over the papers and the internet and surely his school.

I remember there was even an incident a couple of years back in at a Nuggets @ Mavericks game where the people sitting around her and Kiyan were shouting racial slurs at them. How does it suddenly become ok to say such hateful things to people in the name of sports... much less to children?

There have been incidents where the media have heavily scrutinized athletes for using a certain derogatory f-word (see Kobe, Amar'e etc...) ...why should derogatory language towards women or a players family be acceptable?

I have thought the same thing after seeing players spaz out over this or that. You guys might be cubical neighbors next season dude. How ironic would it be for JCrawford to get his ass handed to him in training camp.

Boston must be defeated

People don't know how difficult it is to close teams out that has veteran leadership and one of the best coaches in the league.

But what's also difficult is to play a team at home in the playoffs knowing they are desperate with nothing to lose.

Playing at the garden when everybody and the security guard is expecting you to win, plus don't forget the 15-20 something media hounds looking for something to write about before and after the game.

This isn't Rucker Park, this is NY MSG DA MECCA where opposing players play with serious gusto just to get a rep and a name for themselves.

It's not easy to be the home team with madd expectations on you and you've never been here before under these circumstances.

Now lets flip da script, Boston only has so much left in the tank playing 7 guys. The pressure is on them to have their legs come out from under them like in game 3 .

When the knicks start running like they did in game 3 , Boston players will wilt from the pressure of old legs and not wanting to let beantown down. When the the 2nd half comes around, mainly the 4th
qtr these guys are gonna be gasping for air.
