knicks now got to win game 2 and steal a game in Indiana ... they didnt play well at all and it is only a 6 points game ... they got to be more focused starting from game 2 and they should prevail ... won't let this game piss me off too much and wait until next game ...

Been saying this all year....You can get away with him at PF against certain matchups, but this isn't the team to have him defending the PF spot. West is a throw back power forward and will get Melo in foul trouble.....Also, battling him on the post will wear on him as the game progresses....

Idk nix. Defense was a huge problem and Amare would not have helped there.

Look this is a big ass team that's why we got Rasheed Wallace, Camby, Big guys. Amare will be the X factor in this game. And if we loose this series you better believe that Wade will get the calls going to the basket and so will Lebron. I hope the Sterns and his crew take a look at this game and see we got bad calls. We need other people to step up . Melo played a bad game of no respect. He needs to move on.

Offense was also a problem. It's not just one thing. Also we might get their bigs in trouble having to defend Amar'e. You can't think that offense doesn't effect defense.
JR played like he'd been out partying the night before. Oh that's right, he had.
Just an awful showing by the players, the crowd and the ref's. key to beating the pacers was winning at home (they are a bad road team).

We need Smith to get his mind right. If Smith plays half decent from the start we can get past Indiana.
Rating and the refs , what's new.
Whoever still thinks the Knicks are way better than the Pacers better wake up. This was a professional and solid all-around team letting the opposition know they are for real.
The Pacers really impressed me. They have solid outside shooting as well as great inside from Hibbert and West to mix with their tenacious defense. The Knicks are in for a tough series.
That is, if they care to show up.
Today being a Knicks fan felt pretty bad. Its not that they lost, but the way. They looked overmatched in every aspect of the game.
Really seemed like they didn't care. They tried a semi run with 5 minutes remaining in the fourth. Yeah, brilliant basketball.
The best thing we'be had this playoffs is Felt on and Shump. Yet Woody stayed with the Iso Melo and terrible J.R. and that didn't work. Tyson was completely useless and was painfully embarrassed by Hibbert.
If you still believe the Knicks can dominate this series, you are a better fan than me. The Pacers dominated in such a way and showed so much maturity that made me embarrassed to root for a bunch of head cases that weren't interested enough in playing active defense and went away from the little things that were working for them.
Its just one game, but being dominated for 48 minutes feels scary.
NBA refs sure can make this game into something that resembles WWF. If Hibbert is allowed to smack Anthony across the face I don't want to watch.
Woody has some problems. For one thing he said he was "happy with the 1st half defense". Woody also said "We gotta put some sets in tomorrow that are gonna help them when they're out their together" referring to Tyson and KMart. This guy doesn't already have some sets that include his 2 bigs, knowing we'd have to go bigger in the instance where we played the Pacers.

Definitely agree. Not a fan of the offense a lot of the time but Woodson has wanted to establish us a defense first team which I like. The Knicks rely on shooting and we're gonna have night where our shots dont fall and when that happens defense can always help you survive those nights.
