Melo did miss Chandler and Martin about 5 times underneath the basket. On a few of those he passed it to the wings but still you have to give it to the bigs down low. CHandler is powered by his offense.

Unless your name is Magic or Stockton, your gonna miss players from time to time especially when your a scorer and not a facilitator. Felton, Kidd and Priggs are here to not miss open players.....

I realize that but still. He has to make those passes and he misses them regularly. Tonight was not as bad as other night but he is capable if he is willing.

We won 53 games, Melo had an MVP season, we won the division, we won a playoff series even tho Melo had no scoring help. You wake up. What did the Knicks do before we got him again?

If you're saying once the 2010 Wade, Lebron, Bosh plan fell through, it was impossible to construct a team that would go any better than 6-13 in the playoffs the next 3 years, then I wholeheartedly disagree.

Are you kidding. Have you watched the last two games? Last year and the year before the team fell apart because of injuries. This year suddenly no one else can do anything. Tyson, Kidd, and JR have been much more than horrible. Even Woodson has baffled me with his benching of Prigs. When Prigs plays everything is better and easier. Not sure how you can pin this on Melo but I know you hate him.

Melo shot worse than his supporting cast did in this post-season, and even when his teammates were shooting great, he had no desire to pass to them (http://www.ultimateknicks.com/forum/topi...)

I just wanna know how last year's Miami series and the Boston series the year before can possibly be his fault. Dont give me advanced numbers and all that stuff. We all saw the team he went into those series with. How could he have done any more than what he did?

Perhaps now it's becoming clear that Melo needed a player like CP3 to be the true leader of the team. Melo by himself can't do it cuz he doesn't have the ability to be that kind of player. This team needs a guy that makes scrubs better and All Stars GREAT!!! Melo doesn't have anyone that can help make him a better player. I think that's the only way this ever works. If we can bring in a Guard that can handle the ball and make others better including Melo!!!

Melo has to grind too hard for every point he gets and that's not good. This team as a whole has the spot up shooters and finishers, but no breakdown PG with passing skills to set everyone up. We had to play 2 PG's just to try and add up to one great PG. Felton/Kidd and then Felton/Prigs.

He did all we could. He keeps getting in this situation with no help. Of course his percents will drop with no help.

I agree, can't put this all on melo, with they way woodson is making adjustments, it's horrible.
Your benching guys off of 2 or 3 mins it seems like.

And the foolish way he continues to play novak and cope is mind boggling..

was there a restriction for shumps mins, playing melo tyson and amare for like 3 min.

How many times did Tyson roll to the rim, not fkng many..so many head scratching moves

Look, I'm not the type of poster to exempt Melo from any type of criticism. He's struggled with his shot for most of the playoffs.....However, I thought he played well tonite. He missed a few at the end when the game was over that made his fg% look worse than it actually was, BUT, when you have 4 players play a combined 62 mins and combine for 0-11 fgs and 0 pts, you have see how the saying "All hands on deck" didn't apply tonite. You keep defelcting blame for the supporting cast and putting back on Melo, but how can you defend what the rest of this guys did or didn't do in tonites game?

*Note: I'm pretty sure you'll find a way to deflect this post back to Melo aswell....

Thank you!!! You hit the nail on the head!! 1 assist a game in the playoffs and your the superstar? That's inexcusable, you can away with that during the regular season but not in the playoffs. Woodwind only fault is not telling Melo not to pass the ball more often. Supporting cast? Please... If we had Wade and LeBron and lost you'd still say our supporting cast sucks. Our supporting cast is great, Melo just doesn't know how to play team ball. Even Jordan had off games during the playoffs and what did he do? He got his teammates going. It's really simple, in a nutshell Melo doesn't make his teammates better.

yea, it really is becoming a dead argument..... when someone writes "melo has done his part" just tells me that some fans are just out of touch here.... no offense...

At some point you can't keep pointing the finger at the other guys.... if you are going to do that, then you can't justify trading so many assets to get carmelo... because we were told... Get the star, the role players are easy to replace.... really? ok then, lets hold the proper individuals accountable..

I'm pretty sure you're wrong and you have confused with someone else. I've never deflected blame where it was due. I've written many times about how shitty Tyson's post-season has been. And Shumpert and K-Mart were awful on offense.

Well they need each other. Paul doesn't get flack but their careers are really similar. They need that other player that can really take pressure off of them because they struggle and breakdown physically trying to do it themselves.
