Im not confident that we can beat the Pacers three in a row. The Pacers are young and will get better next year
The Heat still have Lebron wade and Bosh. The Bulls will have Rose back Younger teams will be up and coming. What does this team do? Were capped out and draft picks are gonzo.
How do we get a big athletic body inside that stops us from getting obliterated on the boards. Our shooting is abysmal this series, but man its the rebounds. 2nd opportunties = generally higher percentage opportunities because they are in close or the defense isn't set. Pacers can't shoot a lick either but are winning because of 2nd chance points.
Series is over. What to do now is to try to do the same thing we did this year only better (i.e., bring in seasoned vets for the minimum, along with overseas guys, to play around our big 3), and hope for the best. Couple years time, all of those big contracts are gone, and if we're smart (which we won't be) we can rebuild from scratch.

Even if we get a big athletic guy does it make a difference if melo continues to play the 4?
Keep trying to find good fits around Melo. Under appreciated guys. Carl Landry might be a good FA option if GS isn't willing to pay him because they have to resign Jack too.
I truly don't believe that there is anything we can do about the team. The little bit of maneuverability and our few assets were almost completely wasted this past Summer. Lin left for nothing, our few assets were traded for Felton and Camby, and we used our MLE on Kidd. This is pretty much our team going forward, we'll still have the MLE to use but there's no real way for us to bring in other players unless something completely unexpected happens with Tyson.
We need to pull that "Oakley for Camby" style move. Which playoff team is on the brink and can use a veteran guy like Tyson, but let go of a younger more athletic big who hasn't really come into his own yet?
The good news is we accomplished enough this season to say it was a success and a huge step for the franchise, but at the same time this series forces our front office to be aggressive this summer.

Well the odds say we have a less than 5% chance to win this series now--what from these games do you walk away with that says we get beat this team 3 games in a row? Hey smoke and mirrors we played a very decent season--but the bottom line is we had too many older players and + 1 of our main guys has fatal knee problems that were stuck with does anyone hev a magic 8 ball?
