I posted pretty much after every game with exception to Game 5, which I missed most of it tied up at work.
I felt Game 1 was the toughest loss. We had Indiana and the we let it slip in the second half. games 3 and 4 were just really bad shooting games for us

I knew as we signed him and his trucked got totaled it wasn't going to end well for him....He and Camby was putrid signings just disgusting....yet GRUNNY got tons of credit for putting this team together this season and many thought he should have won EOY....
Revionist history. Kidd helped win games this season he just didnt have enough left in the tank for the playoffs.

he is putting it on the coach.

Paul George 3rd yr player is already playing in his ECF didn't take 7yrs to get there and he also played a heckuva series. Actually his first 4gms on Melo pretty much proved to be the difference in the series....The series was over a couple games ago.
They're young and aren't going anywhere for a while....
George was amazing. Pacers were competitive in the 2nd round last year. Teams generally evolve as they play together. Hopefully that happens for the Knicks.
no one to really evolve. knicks are what they are.
I can't have an Eeyore mentality about this team. It was 14 years ago when I watched the Knicks in may.

He caught the ball before it go to the cylinder...are you really trying to debate that block being clean?
I never said he did not hit the bal before it was over the cylinder. The goaltending rules books don't have any exceptions to the cylinder part of the rule. The ball was over the cylinder at the same time hibberts hand was on it. Clear goaltending even though he had his hand on it before it got to the cylinder.
If you make contact with the ball before it gets to the cylinder then the play continues until it's deemed a complete play. It was not anything close to goaltending and I can't believe you're posting this...
I have never seen such an exception to the rule.

Tyson needs to stfu. Guy was dominated and might be the biggest reason Knicks lost. Kmart going against a guy 6 inches taller and 75lbs heavier was much more effective.
Absolutely. Tysons really coming off bad with what hes been saying. Im not even a Woodson fan but Tysons outta line. Hes blaming everyone/thing but himself

Same dude that had Kidd as MVP earlier in the season...Kidd is done and has been done a long time ago..

That wasn't quiet at all...
Melo was the only reason they were in the game for the first 3 quarters. He was a beast.
First three quarters. Exactly.
Not for nothing ....If u want to start pointing fingers...I could probably find 14 guys to point to before I get to Melo..I mean really...
Actually the team was down by 12pts when Melo was sitting on the bench and Shumpert went Boston Celtic Game 5 mode and Copeland was being Copeland....then the game was tied....Knicks had momentum....Woodson puts Melo and the game changed....
Haha....So 35 in three qts and keeping the team in striking distance means nothing ???...Until Shump three 3s..Shump, Felton, Chandler was 3/18...So who was keeping the Knicks afloat???
melo. but you have to bring it home. basketball is 4 quarters, not 3.
Come on...Dude has been there all year...All year...People are complaining he is shooting too much..Now he isn't shooting enough after dropping 39 on Paul George????
Love that Melo was superman the first three quarters. Melo is amazing. We just needed more from him.
Vmart wrote:Everyone wants to blame Melo but once again the biggest disappointment is Amare. This guys is killing cap space and you know he is a no go in playoffs year in and year out.
I don't think we lost because of Melo. I think Melo is what I thought he's always been...not as good as some think he is not what he thinks of himself....but more importantly this team got exposed....flawed and not put together well.

He had a bad game tonight, but he was on of our best players in the playoffs. Keep the blame focused on Kidd, Tyson and JR- they gave us NOTHING this series
playoffs
Felton started off the season playing. Once December hit, he disappeared. He had a couple of good games against Boston, but other than that. He is just an average or below average PG, and he is a huge cry baby. It hurts to say it, but that is my opinion.

And then Tyson went on to say the reason we lost was that basically we did t stick together as a team and didn't run our offensive sets. Kind of agree, but coming from someone who played like crap all playoffs, he isn't taking any personal responsibility, just pointing the finger.

Serious question - is there anything you like about this team? Everything is either a negative post or a cheap shot. I know you dont like Melo but sometimes it seems like you hate the team as a whole.
Not true! Everyone on this board is proud of what this team accomplished this season. We know this team could've done more. 13 year droughts make me thirsty.

That may be true, but for this season Lin would not have been better and I was a big LIN supporter. I still think LIN has more upside but we will see. I thought Felton played well for the most part. This game not so much. If he or Smith or Chandler could step up, NY would have won.
Felton, Smith and Chandler for Paul and Jordan? LA is not that dumb are they?

The amazing thing with melo was how many tough shots he had to make just to keep it close. Also, every time he went to the bench they were working on his shoulder.

This was a tough team to watch this yr.
Are you seriously asking me this question after I posted those numbers? We gave him 3yrs/$9mil at 40yrs of age.
I'll say Prigs and Copeland earned my respect to a degree and I do respect Shumpert coming back strong from his injury. Helluva of a lot more than Derrick Rose showed..... There is very little I like about this team
I was never J.R. Smith fan
I was never a Melo fan
I was never an Amar'e fan
I didn't bash Felton too much at all this yr nor Tyson besides his Fake Debo Schtik. I simply want a better team and better players that make it easy for you to root. It's very difficult rooting for J.R. Smith. I mean seriously do you like him and the way he plays?
Also why is it now okay for certain fans to pile on players now? Why is it okay to bash them? Last I checked no players haven't been traded and they're still Knicks. Why were fans bashing Amar'e throughout the yr? Can he help he's injured? I don't think so.
So what are the rules TeamBall? Wait until we see the final end results then vent or detect the bad signs early on and vent? Pleas elaborate without getting personal and trying to attack the poster.

How did Lin do these playoffs?
