Knicks · No calls for the Knicks. Now no calls for Pacers. What happened to the NBA?? With Refs controling who win or lose. (page 1)

I was watching the Heat and Pacers game and had to turn it off. The officiating is horrible. What happened to our game of basketball. Heat and the refs will win this game. The calls the refs are making against the Pacers are lopsided. And Wade and Lebron are getting away with it.
Well I guess the Pacers now feel how the Knicks felt when Melo was not getting calls. Along with the rest of the Knicks.
What is happening to our game of basketball. Is it turning into the World Wrestling Federation ?

markvmc @ 5/24/2013 10:35 PM
They've taken a lot of free throws for a team getting no calls.
AnubisADL @ 5/24/2013 10:35 PM
Indiana hacks and didn't get called for fouls against the Knicks.

No consistency.

VCoug @ 5/24/2013 10:38 PM
So far this game Miami's been called for more fouls and they've taken the same amount of free throws.
markvmc @ 5/24/2013 10:38 PM
Haven't counted, but haven't noticed the Pacers getting stiffed by the refs so far.

What I am trying to say is the inconsistency of calls. Seems they also can't make up thier minds to let them play or play controlled game ball. Which means the refs dictates how the game is played.

Seems more like you're looking too hard for a reason to complain

Not really. It's just in my humble opinion what I see. The refs are now more like showman.

smackeddog @ 5/25/2013 10:59 AM
Basically whenever the refs started calling everything, the Pacers lead vanished, and every time the refs swallowed their whistle the Pacers built up a ten point lead. The refs kept changing how they called the game every 5 or 10 minutes. The games have been called completely differently than they were in our series- it's ridiculous how this changes from game to game, series to series, quarter to quarter.

Still, anyone notice Sam Young's performance? Ha, he is possibly the worst player in the playoffs- he helped every time we played against the Pacers, and he helped Miami last night (he was -15!) with some terrible play (and a BS technical).

NYDiva @ 5/25/2013 11:02 AM
Yeah, I thought that...except the other way around. The Pacers have had 13 more FTA so far in this series. In Miami.

Ha, it could have been that way round- I remember being annoyed about it last night, but couldn't quite remember which way round it was when I came on here to write about it!

By the way, is Wade getting suspended for elbowing Lance Stephenson in the head?

Love that the commentators say it looked inadvertent and there wasn't anything malicious about it! He jumped up and elbowed him in the head for no reason!

You're trying too hard to make it sound like there's an anti-Knicks conspiracy. Even Pacer homer Reggie Miller called that an accidental elbow. It's going to have to be unambiguously malicious for the player to get suspended.
RonRon @ 5/25/2013 3:47 PM
Papa Bear says "garbage"
You continue to post the same garbage again and again and it makes no SENSE
but you will believe what you want to believe

In the end of the game, the refs gave the opportunity for Indy to win vs the Heat for both games but they messed up themselves with their DEF and West's 2 missed FT's
Indy was put in position to win BOTH games with the free throws the refs gave for George's 3point attempt in game 1

Instead you turn it around and start a conspiracy

YES we did refs did miss some calls against us about 3 calls that could have gone either way that went against us and 3 more that the Knick's could have probably got
BUT INDIANA and HEAT ATTACK the opponents DEF/Paint while we settled for the mid range, 3pt shot, and step back jumpers majority of the time
Our players were scared of the paint as we rarely went in, partly because of Hibbert's ability to protect the paint and make Chandler unable to produce

"the aggressors will get the benefit of the doubt majority of the times", while we were the settler's that were intimidated by the lineups of Pacer's
If we were not attacking the paint and settled for jumpers, we will NOT get calls, as we were defended by 1v1 coverage outside of Hibbert *as he defended both*

I don't want to make this a Melo vs Lebron thing but Lebron has the ability to get in the paint with penetration or post up, while there are 4 other shooters to spread the floor mixed in with Lebron's ability to facilitate and draw double and 3x teams
Melo does not have this ability and what is his goto move?
Chucking 3pointer when the ball is pushed or the mid range shot, or under 30% shot FG's??
"message to Melo/JR pick a move that would allow someone to get open and expect a ball, rather than that step back jumper"
Your team, as Shumpert says, does not know what to do, as they will tend to stand around and DO NOTHING, trying not to get in their way/limiting their options
Melo decides to pass to Kmart and Chandler, 1/100 times they would run that play, whose fault is it for not expecting it?
They are use to Melo shooting it just as long as he can get his shot off and play HERO BALL

He doesn't have one that forces the DEF to either double and allow's our role players to expect the ball, and that is part of the reason why he DOES NOT MAKE OTHER'S around him better
"HOCKEY ASSIST" is a term he made up to gain credit for an assist while it has been called "GOOD BALL MOVEMENT" and "TRUSTING IN MY TEAM MATES TO MAKE THE RIGHT PLAY's and HITTING the wide open shots"

Melo is always going to be about Me, Me, Me, and he will be a STAT whore
What did he say before this season started?
About "not having to score 28-30 pts, playing better DEF, playing a team concept, making team mates around him better, etc"
Well, shooting 30 attempts with FT attempts to score 29 is very NOT efficient

It is all talk, you praise him like a super hero while he is NOTHING but a STAT WHORE

We are unable to build a team around Melo and Pacer's are just too deep
"Well, if you have an All Star like Melo, you can fill out the roster with role players"

He get's praised by you NO MATTER what the results are, You will always win...
A fan does not want personal achievements, they want a team that plays as a team and gives effort on both ends, with their best of their abilities
Say what you want, we could have done no WORSE in the playoffs had Walsh finished his job
While we would have the ability to continue to improve every year and for the future like any other team in the league tries to do

Melo loses his cool vs KG
"Melo has been going on a drink diet and fasting"
While they say he has AWLAYS done this, it has never been mentioned EVER

Camby does not get an opportunity to play
He has had planter facilitates all year but Grunweld and Camby's agent said he was able to play, after all

"JR, Tyson, and Melo" comes up short in play offs....
They all were playing injured, many of which something could have been done about with the amount of rest we had in the 1st round in between games...
As Woodson did not give other's a shot to do their jobs....

Lin, Amare's knee is "sore"
they have torn munisicus and cyst on knee

I am sorry but do you not see how the Knick's uses the media for excuses??
I am not saying some all of these are fake but will say at least some are....

It's nothing to do with the Knicks- its about selectively implementing the rules, depending on the player. that is clearly an intentional elbow, I genuinely don't understand how anyone could dispute that.

Again, even Reggie disagrees with you. If I were trying to elbow someone, I wouldn't try to jump up above or around them. I've never seen someone intentionally elbow a player by jumping above them. The legs don't assist in elbowing someone. It wouldn't make sense.

I never seen someone try to jump over someone like that and not use a swim move to do it. That play and his movement struck me as strange. Usually, you don't see a player jump that high to get around a player who is not on the ground or see a player keep his forearm locked. Should he get suspended, IDK or care. Wade didn't get suspended last year when he pushed Collinson in the back. Wade does a lot of stuff other players would get suspended or ejected for. imo.

markvmc @ 5/25/2013 5:18 PM
Can't see how that's not intentional. well worth a one game suspension imo.

I don't see any malicious intent. A foul call is the most you can give and even that isn't a given.

I'm assuming malicious intent because it's Wade and he's dirty as fuck but I don't think it warrants anymore than a personal foul.
