Will bynum had some big games with detroit this year, when either knight or stuckey was out. Hes said that he would like to remain in detroit, but if the money and playing time with another team is enough, im sure he'll change his tune.

He paid his dues over seas a Chicago pg, would love to see him play in NY.

We loved him here. He plays hard on every play and gives effort on the defensive end. Can have some big games for you, is a tweener. Can score but fails at setting up the offense.

I like Bynum and I think he could be an excellent change of pace guard off the bench. He reminds me of a more steady Nate Robinson without the ups. My only concern with him is his ability to run an offense. Raymond Felton is already mediocre at it and I don't think we can afford to have our backup be similarly inept.

I always liked him anytime I saw him play - could be he just always did well against the Knicks.
I doubt we could get him, but I would think we could promise him a bigger role given our lack of PG depth and the fact that we had such poor ball movement that having two mediocre PGs on the floor at the same time might be needed.

Not sure how he helps as he can't shoot, isn't a pure PG, and is subpar defensively. I would rather find a pure PG with more range on his jumper, someone like DJ Augustine.

All I want is a secondary PG or 2 that can keep optimum pressure on the defense at all times. That's what we need -- any team in the NBA is at there best when they have a PG on the floor that can carve up the defense, get deep in the lane and continually make things happen for himself or others. We have that with Felton (when he decides to play that way -- i.e. the Celtic series) but for all their wisdom and savvy, WE DID NOT have that with Pablo and Kidd....I'm not sure he's the best solution out there but this dude Bynum provides a lot of that. His game actually reminds me a lot of Ray Felton's, I just wish he shot the ball a little better from the perimeter like Ray can..
We have to look at all the FA PGs out there that (a) are in our price range (would be open to a league min/vet minimum deals) and (b) that fit the breakdown/quickness requisite - Bynum's one of them, but there are few others:
Patrick Mills (our best FA PG option imo -- this guy has a player option but I can see him staying in SA -- he gets no playing time there and he's capable of so much more) Nolan Smith (not an ultra breakdown-type, he can penetrate yet he's more of a steady floor general but he's young, he can shoot/score and he's 6'3") DJ Augustin Sebastian Telfair (not a fan but he fits the profile)
AND THEN compare these guys to some of the solid FA PGs out there that aren't currently in the NBA:
Curtis Jerrells Michael Loyd Jr. Sherron Collins Willie Warren Josh Selby Sean Singletary Scott Machado Tu Holloway Casper Ware

You guys are right. I just looked up his ratings. He gave up about 6 more points than he scored per 100 possessions last year. He was around -6 the past two years too.
