Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari could return by December as opposed to February, a league source told The Denver Post.
Gallinari, who underwent knee surgery at the end of the season, had been projected by the Nuggets to miss half of the 2013-14 season. But Gallo posted a video on his official Facebook page Friday in Italian, and in the video Gallo said his left ACL wasn't torn and his recovery time will be "completely different" than previously reported, according to the Italian journalist Davide Chinellato. He is a writer for Italian La Gazzetta dello Sport and translated Gallo's video and posted the quotes on Twitter).
Chinellato tweeted that Gallo called it "great news." Here are more tweets from him:
@dchinellato: #Nuggets Gallinari: "I underwent a healing response procedure, in which ligament is stimulated to respond naturally"
@dchinellato: #Nuggets Gallinari: "This procedure changes completely my rehab and recovery time. But I'll inform you later about that"

I agree. I am curious about these tweets:
@dchinellato: #Nuggets Gallinari: "I underwent a healing response procedure, in which ligament is stimulated to respond naturally"
@dchinellato: #Nuggets Gallinari: "This procedure changes completely my rehab and recovery time. But I'll inform you later about that"
Good for him. The only thing is that is still a lot of recovery time its still sounds like a serious knee injury
I wonder if he said it wasn't torn or it no longer is torn. It would be surprising if they misread the initial MRI. It sounds like he's saying the treatment helped heal the ACL

It might be. He had chosen to have two surgeries rather than one like Shump. I wonder if he doesn't need his second surgery.
He's had the weirdest ACL injury- now it's not torn? eh?
it's torn, just not a full tear, he's still scheduled to be out to december.
they have some pretty cutting edge medicine in europe no pun intended. still that is great news for the nuggets. that team just isn't as solid when he is out.

I don't see that at all. I think some posters think that he is overrated by some here. He was very well liked when he was on the team.

he is the whipping boy for the contingent of posters who need to prop up melo since apparently melo can't stand alone on his own merits. and as the whipping boy his game has to be brought down. if anything he is underrated. and if i say posters wish him ill it is only to the degree that his approach to the game threatens players like carmelo anthony, and the fans whose egos are attached to melo's game.

That's your opinion. The guy isn't on the court enough to be underrated. He can be a good player but he is dogged by injuries. This past offseason it was his shoulder and back. His rookie year it was his back. He missed significant time with finger injuries. He is missing significant time with his knee. Maybe its bad luck and maybe he overcomes it but his injury history isn't something someone needs to exaggerate to make a point. It is documented and unfortunately it continues to dog him.

Like Melo became the whipping boy for those who blame him for "forcing the trade" that involved Gallo...

he's injury prone but that does not take away from the fact that he is a good player. your assertion that he isn't on the court enough to be underrated is nonsensical.
he has played enough to demonstrate that he is a very good player who is unfortunately injury-prone-- simple. he will turn 25 in august. he is still over 3 years away from his physical prime and entered the nba at the same age as most 3-year college players.

of the two players one had a great deal of control over the situation and the other had zero say in the matter.

So your Melo hang up has to do with Gallo being traded correct?
