Top 5 recruit coming out of high school who went to Kansas. He was suspended 9 games for dealing with an agent (Carmelo's agent) in High school. He then suffered an injury when he returned to kansas and was never the same. He opted for the draft (after playing 21 games) and wasn't ready. He was sent to the D-League where a lot of these overrated kids are humbled. He looks ready and rumor is melo wants him on the team.

Like i said i think the new trend will lean more towards drafting "d league" talent. These are kids who left too early but needed time to learn how to play

I agree with you. Whether this be the case or not, the Knicks need to scour the cheaper options to upgrade this team. Especially with backcourt talent, there really isn't too much of a difference between them and the average NBA Joe's. Of we're disciplined enough, we can find our own Bobby Simmons, Kelenna Azubuike, Wes Matthews, etc.

I think he is definitely worth an invite to camp and possibly more. I think he was considered a high risk, high reward player.

I like him. Rumor 'round the grapevine is that he has a bad attitude but the good news is that he's not stupid, which is generally a trend with players with bad attitudes IMO. The only problem is that I don't think he'd have a role with us, now that Chris Smith is a lock to make the roster.

I've said as much in the past but if it means keeping JR Smith at bargain basement prices, then we'd have to do it. Even so, I'm uncomfortable with nepotism guiding decision making for anything relevant to my life.

Looking at his numbers I am not seeing the improvements I would like. However, if he learns to use his athleticism and length on defense he might stick around.
