Two cats. They are named Garfield and Nermal, after the comic strip/cartoon.

Yes. On Facebook. Or I guess I can upload to one of those image sharing sites. Which one is best?

Lucky has pancreatic cancer. The average survival time is about 8 months. I'm so sad.

is she suffering now?
sorry bonn, my God be with lucky and with you

No, she seems so happy and energetic now. She had surgery to remove the tumor but pancreatic tumors are awful in dogs. They come back virtually 100% of the time from what I've read. I've talked with a couple of vets and they've given her anywhere from 6 to 18 months. Thanks for your thoughts!

Good luck Bonn. Very sorry to hear it... spoil her silly.

Sorry to hear. I remember when you got the dogs!

Its good advice!
its very tough to let go. We went thru this two years ago with my 7 year old Pincher who was sick for two years. He degraded to the point we took him off meds and let nature take its course as long as he was not in pain. No more "Heroic" proceedures. Best part about being a dog is NOT being stuck and probed and managed for pain in fear at the vet. If a dog can't play or work then they are no longer dogs. They are there for us and thats not fair.
You'll do the right thing.

In case you haven't seen these before... my mutts go absolute ape-shit over them. You would think I was giving them steak!
Just make sure that your dog doesn't have any allergies or anything, and always watch them when you give them something new.
They're a little pricey for dried yams IMO... but I buy them anyway based on my dogs' reactions. Plus these have just one ingredient, yams. And are made in the USA.
A friend at work turned me on to these (well, actually Dr. Harvey's, another good brand).

Thanks. I've read a lot of good things about K9 Immunity Plus - a supplement for dogs with cancer. I just ordered it. I'm still reading about what the best foods are for dogs with cancer. I really want to do everything I can for her.

Well the oncologist said Lucky could get about 14-18 months. And she's happy and energetic now.
