Cousins is a beast and , I would take him on the Knicks for the max any day of the week. He'll be one of the best big men in the game if he goes to a good team. He just finished what, his third season averaging 17/10/3?
That's a max guy right there. Obviously he needs to be in the right situation, but it can definitely be done. Who says he doesn't turn his attitude around like we've seen many players do. I think Sheed is a good comparison attitude wise, he just wants to win.
Could he be just posturing knowing he's not getting a max, he's basically just forcing them to trade him.

sheed is a different case because he didn't care about stardom. He also played D unlike Cousins. If I'm Dallas I would think about it. NY has nothing to offer Sac. They probably want picks because they're not competing.
AAtlanta is another team that should think about. Milwaukee too. Partner Cousins with Sanders and you have a nice tandem. although both have temper issues.

Cousins can play Defense give him something(team) to play for , he wants to win just like Sheed did.

Yeah and his emotional issues are a concern. They might be maturity related but if you are giving him a max deal I think you would want to be sure of that. I believe he has had conflicts with at least two coaches in Sac and did have to spend some in season time away from the team at some point. He does have a ton of talent and size.

Yup. Even Clyde thinks this guy is a mental midget.
Kid is young and talented....put him in thus squad and the knicks get better. Cousins instead of Indiana and we probably win. Cousins woulda probably fought Hubert after a intentional foul but that's besides the point.
I would do a a trade of Chandler & Shumpert for Cousins & Tyreke Evans. They can throw in Tony Douglas for salary matching purposes..
