Jordan doesn't help us...He shot 39% ft last year, which means he cant be on the floor at the end of games...He isn't a good rebounder..He isn't a good defender..he can't score...He dunks, that's it..At least Chandler can change the game at times defensively...We can't afford to add over priced non serviceable contracts...

I'm not opposed to trading Tyson for Jordan. Hell, as far as I can tell I'm the first person that brought it up, but it's a clear downgrade at center. Tyson's a better rebounder, defender, and offensive player than Jordan; the only thing Jordan is better at is shot blocking and it isn't by that much. If we're going to downgrade like that we need a significant improvement in another part of the roster and the 25th pick in a bad draft isn't it. For comparison, here's the list of players that have been drafted at 25 since 2000, it ain't exactly a murderer's row:

Knicks aren't trading Chandler straight up for Jordan.
Chandler IS better but not SIGNIFICANTLY so. In other words, he is not enough of an upgrade to justify a draft pick. At least that is how I'd look at it.
I think the pick is only added if Paul says getting Chandler is a condition of his staying. Obviously keeping Jordan around isn't a priority for Paul. Of course he didn't say that.

I didn't compare the 2 players; I was pointing out that Paul and Chandler have a good relationship, my implication being that Paul would want Chandler on the Clippers.

That's not good way to look at it imo. You need to look at all players drafted at 25 and back. However, 4 of those guys are solid starters/ glue pieces. 2-3 are bust and the others are still young. This is a rotation filler draft. imo.
I agree with ylu on Jordan although I bet in NY's Offense his numbers points wise would jump as the primary role guy.

I think DeAndre has a 3.5 mil trade kicker that would make his salary almost match Tysons.

Jordan is awful- AWFUL! Check out his FT shooting, his lazy attitude. At least Tyson plays well in most games- Jordan plays like flu Tyson all year round.
Unless 25th pick pans out to a rotation player this year, it's a bad trade for the Knicks.

Coulda just asked haha. My post was really to add merit to the Clippers/Chris Paul wanting to have him there but I'd say I'm against it.
Chandler's been the knicks defensive anchor but I'm left wondering if we're ever gonna see the Mavericks playoff version of Chandler or just what we've seen of him the last 2 playoffs. This last one leaving me really disappointed. He's on the wrong side of 30 and possibly breaking down but I think moving him would be a setback. Knicks are constantly making changes, it'd be good to keep a solid core and build continuity.
