This is going to be a huge problem for us. We had trouble putting away boston with an injured rondo. Add KG and PP to the nets and they only lose Wallace as a main guy.

Nah, they'd be better than the Celts. Garnett would shift back to his natural position with Lopez at center....Joe is better than any sg than the Celts had....Nyets would be stacked and set for a good run for a year.

Wonder how many of those picks are coming from the Nyets? Thats a lot of picks to give up for a year rental. They better win it all...

That makes sense. NEts have surplus of euro's, Humphries is an expiring, and if Blatch was walking having Garnett is a better choice anyway. I Salary wise I can see Wallace going as well?
Pierce comes off the books and if Garnett retires that opens a huge salary opportunity. Brooks needs to play but he can't displace Joe Johnson.

That's a trade you'd almost have to make if.. u r the Nets. Considering the money tied up in Joe Johnson and Williams. Plus it fills needs.. the picks are of little consequence considering they'll likely be low 1st rd'rs.. as a NYK fan, u hope it doesn't happen!
They will have a 2 year window to win before the wheels fall completely off. Those picks will be 2013 ,2016 and 2018 something like that.The Hawks can swap with the Nets in 2014 and 2015
Looks good on paper some but htis team will be painfully slow on transition defens....Pierce and Joe is also a weird mix....

Let's see how it looks on the court. Last offseason, I had LA in the finals.
The trade is growing Per Wojo....can't get completed until the moratorium period has concluded July 10th...which means if Pierce is on the roster after June 30th, with no buyout, as the Nets need his salary to do this deal...then it's all academic.
Jason Terry and/or Courtney Lee may be included as it continues to expand. So if it expands then the Nets start developing a bench.
Beck reporting on twitter there is a slim chance of a pierce Garnett deal getting done. My guess is if nets are picking for the celtics they take Mitchell.
The Nets gave up draft rights for Lillard in the Gerald Wallace trade.
Lillard alone would have put Brooklyn on the map for the next 10 years.
I know it is really early in the offseason and us Kicks fans want movement from our team, but I would not go salivating at what the Nets are doing.
Nets are developing a real Knack for giving up young & talented assets for players well past their primes....
After next season we have an expiring Amare that we will very likely parley into a good player from a team seeking salary relief.
After next year we have our draft picks back. I like how we are looking long term.
Let the Nets get older... that worked out really well for us this last season... lol
