Put it this way who cares how good you think they are, here's what's fact that team just became a tougher roadblock for us because they actually play in our Division? So if either team loses doesn't make it to the Finals who cares we're still losers and that's all that matters.

Basically we're in the same boat an old aging team with a short window except in Brooklyn's case they have championship pedigree on the team, more depth, and some youth.

They are a bigger road block for us now. We only won like 5-6gms more than they did last yr. I bet we don't win 54gms next near and I bet they win more gms than we do while being in our division.

Now send chandler to the celtics for rondo

Oh, yeah I agree with that. I just don't think it makes them a championship team and they're pretty much locked into that roster with little room for improvement. So, they might be a slightly better version of us.

You think that roster is just going to click like that just off of talent, boston was bad with rondo, pp, and KG, they went on a run once rondo went down..there bench is in experience and young, and are all prospects at best

Nets see a window next year. Maybe its worth them taking a shot. Outside of KG and PP they keep their core.

Knicks have not gained a generation of bandwagon fans since the Ewing era. Knicks went all in this season to cockblock the nets and there quest to eclipse them.

the first team to win a chip in the city will grab the younger crowd and build on that. Im a knick fan because as a child the Clyde-Reed era got me. For many of you its the Ewing era. Bernard King grabbed a few. Melo is a star and gained a lot of fans but there is a difference between being a fan of a star and following a team that goes all the way!

Does this put them over the top? Long way to go before the final rosters are seen and nothing is won on paper.

But there is a lot at stake here for both teams.

I can't stand Pierce and KG but im learning in the new NBA, like in the NFL rosters can change quickly. I was never a big fan of Melo as a Nugget. Dude is ok with me now but its not like the old days.

Yeah, I'll root for the next always first but when they are eliminated I will root for The nets before I'll root for Miami, Bulls or Pacers.

Other teams losing don't really make me feel better. Heat win vs. Spurs kind of sucks but the day after who the phuch cares.

It's interesting...The more I look back at our season last year and I look at who we had on our roster to start the season vs who is on the team now it really does seem like a miracle we made it as far as we did. Many of the personnel we acquired seemed like "spare parts"...old, weary and some unknowns needed to be shipped in from overseas (KT, Wallace, Kidd, Brewer, Pablo, Cope, White). And now we have the chance of losing Pablo, Cope and Smith (don't mind him walking I just don't see who would replace him) and I don't mind moving Chandler.
Lets see what Grundwald can pull off this season. The Nets are all in and we have a lot of holes to fill.

Yea, this is true. Iso is fine in moderation but we were best when there was lots of ball movement and can get into the paint. Also, our defense and low turnover rate was what kept us in games last year and it was especially apparent in the playoffs ...that needs to continue but it wasn't enough. We need more offensive production in the post...and Melo is the only healthy player on this roster that gave us anything there. Chandler's not a threat in that department. Anyway...this is suited for discussion in another thread..don't want to hijack it.
