If he doesn't re-sign in Memphis which they very much want him back...he'll sign wherever he has the best chance to win at the most money.
Adding Hardaway Jr and Allen?
This makes me wonder if the Knicks are trading Shumpert. Or perhaps permanently moving him to SF.

They probably realize that Shumpert is the only real leverage we have. I think they are trying to cover his role/position before they try to move him this offseason.

How would Shump grow if we were to sign Allen? Better yet it would stunt both Shump's and TJ's growth especially if we resign Earl.
But hey in Knicks world we're signing everyone and everyone wants to sign here and whoever it is, it's always the perfect fit.
Knicks trying to acquire replacements for our limited assets.

I doubt anyone offers Allen more than $3 million/yr. Because of that, I doubt he would need to be sign and traded.
I would love to add Tony Allen - the Knicks definitely need to add some offense though
I think I agree with the people who said Shump's growth will be hurt by this. We need defense, in all but that one position and I am still not sold on Tyson being completely worthless on defense. Shump is about our best defender, so if we are going to get a defense first player there are 3 other spots on he floor we should look to address.
Why are you guys assuming shump is gone? I see it as Shump's offense is obviously developing. Am I wrong for seeing this as preparing for JR not to return?
Tony Allen to replace JR doesn't really make sense does it? For all his faults JR was our second scorer, Tony Allen can' score.
You guys must really hate defense.
No one hates defense, I just want Shump to get PT. Tony A would cut into that. If he replaces JR instead, then we lose scoring altogther. He is just not a good fit unless we already know we are losing Shump in a trade.
