If this report is true, when do we STOP giving up draft picks? The best players win the championships via draft or free agency.
Depends on the picks, but Bargnani gives the Knicks another scoring threat, which was lacking in the Indiana series. Does this mean we get djsunyc back too?

Agreed. Look te nets are screwed in teh future but next year they have a bigtime shot. they acquired 2 HOF players who have played and won a lot in the playoffs. We traded all of our picks for a guy who is a top scorer but has a horrible playoff record and now bargnani who doesnt even play playoff basketball
Terrible trade for us. You include picks for stars, not for overpaid role players. We're basically deciding to pay Steve Novak 2.0 at a higher paygrade.

But with Camby gone their goes the rest of our interior defense except for Tyson. Is getting K-mart back a sure thing? People here killed Gallo, wait till this dude steps on the floor. Couldn't we just get Ryan Anderson instead for cheaper still?
Not expecting he will become a good defender or rebounder but if last year was an aberration he could give us another scoring option. Can we fit him into our offense? Will he work well with Melo? What do you think?
Isiah still haunts this team. Other than the iman shumpert pick and kenyon martin signing we seem to overpay for people that wont take us far
This move could persuade Prigioni to stay, Amare isn't guaranteed to last the whole season and neither is Pierce and Garnett

That question is a non starter - we don't have an offense. All we do is walk up the court and dump it to MElo.
i love it at first blush.
the guy is a legit #2 scoring threat. we have to take these kind of chances now. good point earlier about woody though. bargnani has to play the four with melo at the three.
If this deal involves Novak it is a great deal. It improves us now and improves our salary cap situation in 2015 so we can retool even easier! That Novak contract off the books could be a difference maker at that point.

you cant give up first round picks for him though tahts insane. If it was novak camby and a 2nd then fine but bargnani isnt a all-star and his contract is bad. Heck they were gonna amnesty him last week

No draft picks in upcoming drafts when the talent will be much better than this year

Getting Novak off the books might be worth the first rounder. Could be a huge difference maker in summer 2015.
Anyone hearing than once this goes down, Knicks will deal Chandler, possibly to the Warriors? Trying to confirm..WOW.

yes but its tough to trust this organization when it comes to free agency or trades. In trades they always overpay and our free agents dont seem to work out. I mean we have been kind of a joke for a decade up until this past year

Where did you hear that?
Chandler to the Warriors? Can we get Bogut back please?
Almost 40 year old Camby? Mister invisible Novak....neither are in the plans....Bargnani is a legit second scorer indeed....we got better guys stop complaining about every little thing!
why does this organization continue to trade firs round picks. lets be honest it hasnt exactly helped us much since 2000. I mean yes we had one very good regular season and we barely won a playoof round against a wounded celtic team
