The way this team has played, there are definitely shots to go around. We had several players who actually turn down shots on this team. Prigs, Kidd, Tyson and even Shump. That is part of the problem that having AB helps to solve. If I was his coach i'd get him a TON of post ups under the basket. I'd tell him to run the floor and plant himself right in the middle of the paint. He's not a guy who lacks for offense skills so get him close to the basket and see what he can do. He'll always be able to take long jumpers. Those shots from 15' in are the ones that will really help AB to be more efficient and get to the line.

It is possible with motivation and offseason training
It's possible but highly unlikely. If he even stays healthy, he probably will play like he always has, which means giving up far more points than he scores. You don't get veterans to change them.

We sacrifice defense but Defense was fine against Indiana. It was the flaws on the Offensive end that did us in. JRs ineffiency and Tyson and Kmart giving u nothing inside. It led to standing around watching Melo

I think the key is to get someone who can actually contribute and spend time on the court. Novak wasn't adding much, Camby was a no show, Kidd really fell off, Stat hasn't been healthy at all etc. If Bargs can drain some buckets consistently in the flow of the game it will really improve things for Melo and JR. I also think Hardaway will help take some pressure off on the second unit.
Our scoring was basically non existent when Melo and JR were sitting or had an off night. We have cut a lot of dead weight, the question is have we gained someone who can contribute?
Good to see you posting Guns.

He still gives up much more than he scores, though. Adding a net negative never helps.
more to it than that, unlike Novak, AB has the ability to put it on the floor ,with a decent handle, and has the ability to penetrate/finish in the rim while playing PF/C
However, the Knick's must be ready to read the defense and anticipate it for better spacing
translation
The Knick's must learn how to play as a team, play off one another, NOT just playing of CARMELO ANTHONY, CA must learn how to play off less talented players than him and use his head as a TEAM not an individual
FORGET THE GLORY
FORGET THE PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
FORGET THE INDIVIDUAL NUMBERS/STATS
it is time to rise up and shut the analysts up demoting us to 5th seed's *although I have to agree but would use it as a motivation speech*
We had ONE bad play off matchup/series, this time Woodson would be ready with adjustments/better rotations/philosophy on OFF AND DEF *hopefully with a new assistant coachs, sorry but I think it is time some assistant's have to also take some blame for Woodson's moes of lack off*
I'm sure Raptor fans had the same wishful thinking about Barfnani.

Exactly. The arguments are the exact same as what people said about Eddy Curry. They're basically ignoring the player's track record and focusing on the skill-set instead.

He is not a franchise player but he should excel on a good team with players around him. He excelled playing next to Bosh despite The fact they did similar things. They meshed a lot better than Melo and amare have. Him and Melo is a brilliant duo. Makes Melos life easier as he gives him more room to operate inside and out as they are interchangeable

never say never. I think Odom helped the Lakers and improved once there. Then there is Jason Terry going from Atl to Dallas and some how he becomes a good player. Roles matter.

He was a disaster playing next to Bosh and so was the Raptors team. He gave up 7 more points per 100 possessions than he scored, and he was bad in all the nonscoring aspects of the game too.

I didn't say never. I said highly unlikely.

If Stat could develop a post game at this stage in his career than anything is possible. I don't believe Bargs is going to approach his time with the Knicks the same way that Curry did. That's an extreme example.
I agree its wishful thinking to some extent. I'm hoping the change of scenery and the bigger stage will motivate him to work on his deficiencies as a player. As I said in an earlier post, I'm not expecting miracles but I do believe that a small improvement in his game is reachable if bargs comes in with the right attitude.

He ceased to be the franchise player when Raptors knew what they had and believe me they knew what they had right away. Besides when Bosh got there Bosh was the man. Let's see what he does he does nothing consistently. You really can't be to wishful thinking 20-8 on 48%.
Curry is an exaggeration. No one is as unmovivated as him. Curry was all based on potential. Bargnani is proven
Maybe 20 & 8 is high with Amare there but I will take 17&7 48% in an intrigal role. Keith van horn with more balls
KVH avged 10 rebounds a game.
the kid had balls!
He was not as good as his draft status or contract. Marbury also had it in for him.
Barg's COULD be just fine as he does not have to carry the franchise as he was expected to.
He is an very interesting pickup!
I meant not shying away from big moment like Kvh
He just needs to play better than Novak and it's technically an upgrade. My expectations are low, low, low, but I hope he proves me wrong.
