Watching NBATV and theyre saying Dwights flying to LA to meet with Kupchak. Is he giving them one more chance to make a pitch?

Wow, I thought Howard going to the Rockets was pretty much a done deal.

Unless the pitch is "Dwight, we know MDA sucks and will fire him if you come back....." I can't see him resigning. Then again, he is a douche so it wouldn't shock me either.

It had EVERYTHING to do with the new CBA. If it weren't for the way the Rockets were able to structure the deal Lin would still be a Knick. Had the Knicks had the ability to do the same deal with Lin that the Rockets were able to do don't you think Lin would still be here?

That's $8 million for last season, $16 million for this season and $24 million for his last year for a total of $48 million vs. AB's $12M for next season.

That's $8 million for last season, $16 million for this season and $24 million for his last year for a total of $48 million vs. AB's $12M for next season.

? Lin's contract was $5M/year the first two years and about $15M the third year. That's $25M over 3 years compared to the $23M over two years we're giving to Bargnani. Mind if I ask where you're getting your numbers from?

My bad was thinking about the current Rockets deal. Either way you're forgetting that we traded away $19 million over 3 to take on the $23 million over 2.

You can't obsess over any one transaction. He had the youngest, lowest paid team play .550 ball.
In his worst transactions, Morey slightly overpaid for Asik and Lin. In our worst transactions, we pay guys triple what they're worth and give up 3 or 5 picks to get them too.

Houston trying to bring in Ryan Anderson to spread the floor. It will look like a more talented Orlando squad if they do trade Asik to the pelicans. Anderson/Lewis, Parsons/Turk, and Harden is a upgrade over anyone on the Orl squad. Maybe they'll keep lin now that Jose is off the table. I could see Mo Williams being a great fit for them though to continue the spread the floor theme.

I'm not convinced that's a great team. Depends if they can move Asik and Lin for some upgrades, but at the moment it's a very thin team. Even if they land Josh Smith, it's still a very thin team. However it'll be interesting to see what they do.
