Not saying he is a star Im saying he can put up the same production as Bargs if given the minutes

And picking Pablo vs Copeland was a poor decision
We could turn Copeland in to future asset's/picks/players, he actually has value vs a 3rd string 36 year old PG who has no value from the league
Instead we are still searching for a PG when many teams have 2-3 PG's that are better than ours when it was a BIGGEST need to upgrade this offseason

Do you guys honestly think the knicks are trying to win a chip, or are they staying controversial on purpose to be the talk of the town.

Prigs signing isn't flashy or controversial it is just smart. The Knicks seemed to plan on splitting the mmle between Cope and Prigs. Cope had been reported to be a guy that would stay if he was in a good situation rather than take more money. I think the Knicks hoped he would sign a one year deal and the Knicks could reward him once they had his early bird rights. Cope isn't a young pup. This might be his only contract so he went for the extra money. Can't blame him and the Knicks knew if they tried to split the mmle they might lose Cope. Prigs was too valuable to them to not bring him back. I think the hope and plan was to have Cope back also.

But they never put an offer on the table for him, just like they did Lin. They knew the market was going to scoop him up, there is no loyalty left in the league unless teams anty up the Benjamins.

Well obviously he never wanted to come back otherwise why would he sign the Pacer's offer? He should have waited to see if the Zknicks would still offer him half the money - it just shows all that crisp about hating the Pacers was just BS and all he ever wanted was the money. -- See?? I can speak troll, if I want to.

They must have felt they needed to lock up Prigs first. Splitting the mmle meant that they didn't know what they could offer. Maybe once the Pacers saw Prigs contract they offered Cope more then the Knicks could match. I am not sure but I think the split was done to bring both guys back. The portion left isn't much more then a vet mini contract.

I dont see what the rush was for the Bargs trade they could of got a PG instead. Honestly I dont know why they wanted Pablo so bad no 1 else wanted him

In my opinion there is no excuse. Prigs was signed like 2 days ago and cope just finished his rookie year so he can not get the vet min. He can only get the 800k min. Cope might have taken the 1.7mil deal if it was ever given to him. the problem is they never gave him an offer. This is the same thing Lin said last year. Now that it has happened twice I am going to believe Lin.

Exactly what I think is gonna happen too. Woodson may have just wanted Bargs to fill a Sheed type role and intends on keeping our small ball, 2 pg lineup intact next season.

Also, it kinda hurts that Cope went to the Pacers of all teams.

I agree with both of you. I can't see Woodson doing anything differently next season. I would like to see how long it will take Woody to put barg in his dog house.

Once he starts playing well on offense (if that happens), Melo will be uncomfortable and Woody will pull him.

No they are spending hundreds of millions of dollars on player salaries for shets and giggles..

Yeah something like that. I wasnt really saying that Woodson was gonna put Bargs in his doghouse though. I just think hes gonna favor his small ball lineup a lot.

He might put him in his dog house. My memories of Bargs are mostly of his having big games against the Knicks. I don't recall how his defense was but it sounds like it is a big weakness for him.

The LLE is exactly what he got

Jmpasq @ 7/7/2013 9:23 AM
How much is Prigs exactly guaranteed. They couldnt get a deal done for 800,000 first year, whatever the 2nd year is , 3rd year buyout with a wink wink he wont play and get 3 years for 2. Then kept Copeland and even moved him for a pick at a later date. He would of rounded out the roster better. Then u have 2 scoring stretch 4's on the roster u have some sort of continuity. U can still do the same things if 1 gets hurt.
It seems like Prigs is getting a lot of money for a guy no team wanted

Probably wouldnt matter because Woodson wont play the rotations I would of expected anyway. He will have Bargs and AMare on the 2nd unit
