Here's the thing about old depth
-Mostly these guys know how to play and have been through the NBA wars
-They are generally inexpensive and attainable
-You get a lot of them and you have a lot of playable NBA depth
-It helped us get 54 wins, didn't really come through for us in the playoffs
-Some will wear out (Sheed, Kidd), some maybe won't.
Nothing inherently wrong in getting a few of these guys, especially if they add some toughness and useful depth to the team with a role to play. I can see Billups, Bradn, Artest and Bell doing this because they have a combination of skills that fit Woodson's needs(3 pt shooting, defense) or add experience to a position of need. I don't see someone like Rip Hamilton doing this (mostly because he appears done to me as a player).
