It's not so much the players but the fact we shot our load for one player who happens to be a volume scorer and not much else. We would be able to surround Melo with players had we held on to the picks especially. Gallo is the only one with real value so he had to go for Melo.

At least now we got Gallo light in Bargs. But to be honest, he might amount to Gallo Heavy Duty in a new place. Remember, he is coming from Toronto. He was "Vinced" out I think...
I think he has more upside than gallo. Can't teach 7ft jumpshooting but Bargs is softer than Gallo who is a pretty tough kid. Both are unreliable but hopefully Bargs reaches full potential in New York or at least repeats his good yrs in Toronto
Also Gallo lives and breathes basketball. Bargnani doesn't seem to be as passionate about the game but enjoys the a amentities that come with they game

If you look at their first few years they were very comparable. Roll changes plus injuries have seperated them, imo.
Last year Camby was supposed to be a good signings but now he is gone. No one nows how the season will shake out.

Yeah and I think he is closer to 7"1. There are some clips where he just drops the ball over the top of his man to the cutter.

Also Bargs is a better 3pt shooter while playing with far more inferior talent than Gallo

At least look up the numbers before posting. You're way off.
Regardless, the biggest differences between Bargs and Gallo are passing ability to draw fouls.
What are they I can't look them up now but I don't think I'm that far off unless you are only basing this on Bargs last 2 seasons where he was injured and barely played

You were off by a wide margin for Gallo. He's a 37% 3 point shooter (which is actually a little higher than Bargs).

The reason I created this post was merely to point out the inefficiency of relying on FREE Agency as the sole means of rebuilding/retooling a winning roster. It is a flawed approach, especially when considering that NYK lacks "appeal" as proven by lesser level talents opting to play elsewhere. Your money is only as good as the product purchased. Your last statement about Zoo York and media scrutiny speaks to the lacking appeal for NY, it justifies my stance.
