You have bargs to root for?
Please explain
yea there is now a player that i identify with and can root for, maybe because we are both tall lanky power forwards that like to shoot jumpers
i can tune in to a knicks game on tv now and root for the team

You don't identify with bums but you do identify with Andrea Bargnani. Wow!

Pablo Prigioni with one year NBA experience > last year's Kidd in terms of on court contributions. If he spoke English as well as Kidd, I would say he has the ability to have the leadership role covered too.
As for the team being better, it depends on who we sign next,if we sign MWP and Brand then we are definitely a better team than last year hands down. Bargs, MWP, Brand, and a more healthy Amare definitely gets us over the hump against Indy and Chicago.
7 x 7 = 77

Don't we already have a 6'9 forward who likes to shoot jumpers?
Or is 6'9 not tall enough?

I am not sure we have a chance to be better unless we get MWP and perhaps some additional help in the frontcourt or another guard.
Tyson isn't improving his game, that's a certainty and Woodsen is about as stubborn as it gets. How many nights did we watch JR come in and take awful shot after awful shot not look for teammates and essentially call his own number without repricusion. He sat Pablo and Copeland on the bench all season while running Kidd into the ground. He may have the respect of the players, but he plays his favorites and his offense doesn't highlight anyones strengths aside from Melo and JR.
Trying to fit, AB, Amare and whoever else is in the frontcourt rotation is going to be very difficult for him.

Woodson did a good job integrating three new starters into his starting five last year and different players as needed into the rotation. Unfortunately last year any issue regarding getting minutes for Amare could have created worked itself out with his two knee surgeries.
Grunwald spent almost nothing for the improvements this team is likely to have this year. Our roster is solid from top to bottom IMO. Melo, AB, Tyson, Shump, Felton - MWP, STAT, JR, THJ, Prigs - CJ and likely we'll bring in a bunch of these exciting kids we have in SL. Tyler, Murry, Jennings...? No way this team isn't markedly better than last years team!!! Those of us who have been very positive about this team for next season are not crazy.
We might be better even if our record during the regular season does not speak to it.
This could be a better playoff team.

It means the Knicks got a white guy. Haven't you noticed the pattern with Giroud?
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thought I was the only one that noticed

Looking at that list, nine of those guys are rotation players if Stat is healthy and Hardaway isn't in the rotation. If the Knicks add KMart you are talking about another rotation player. Nice job by Grunwald with not much to work with.
I agree that we're better than last year, but not good enough to beat Brooklyn, Indiana or Miami.
These Knicks have a chance to build on last year's success.
* We still have much of the same core intact: Melo/Chandler/JR/Felton/Shumpert/Prigioni
* Prigioni is now in the Kidd role.
* Bargnani is now in the Amare role.
* Amare is now in the Rasheed/KT role.
* Artest replaces Brewer/White - and a bit of K-Mart - and with Chandler/Shumpert, can form an all-NBA quality defensive unit!
We're still down a player in K-Mart's role from last year. Seeking a 15mpg/5rpg kind of player. Someone who could cause some ruckus from a rebounding standpoint. That role might be reprised by K Mart.

Can u be lanky and weigh 260 pounds

Man I really think people are overrating the difference between the Knicks and other Top teams. All the ESPN guys think the Knicks are a cut below everyone but now we know JR had health issues as did Tyson. When u add in the dead weight we carried last year in the playoffs it shows me this team was playing WAY below its potential.
Now we have filled those holes with younger and stronger plAyers. I'm tellin u this team is not behind all these other teams!!! We had significant age and injuries last year. That kept this team from reaching its goal of the ECF's. this team is stronger IMO.
If we stay healthy, relatively speaking, skies the limit.. but i guess you can say that about most teams..
we still need to fill that back up pg slot, any prime pg's subject to waiver? It's gotta be another LIN TYPE player out there somewhere..
