Man, I love this guys attitude from what I am hearing from his interview. KG won't be messing around anymore. David West will not be beating up on melo this year.
CrushAlot @ 7/15/2013 4:11 PM
Awesome interview with Metta. Loved everything he said. 'Its not about buckets,,,'
RonRon @ 7/15/2013 4:12 PM
like Artest signing but with only 200k difference from vet min deal (player option on 2nd year),

wouldn't it make more sense to save the rest of the mini MLE on someone(especially a undrafted player) that we could lock into for 3 years with a team option to prevent a Chris Copeland from happening again...

It is unlikely but it would could still be an option for Nate Robinson, Aaron brooks, Udrih, or some of the more talented PG's
For 10 year vets, the min contract starts at 1.4m, for a rookie contract, it starts at 500k, so it is a huge difference/incentive/cost efficient to not give it to a 10year vet

Knicks got Metta. Probably a respect thing to offer the max they had available.

that dude is so phuckin STRONG. Perfect player to match LeBron in the ECF. Also, people are talking about Kirilenko being the perfect glue man, Metta could be our own crazy Kirilenko..

If MWP wanted to come to NY, I don't see 200k making a difference in his decision
the worse case scenario if NO ONE from below

Nate Robinson/Udrih/Aaron Brooks

Dalembert

doesn't sign with us, we could split it with Tourry Murry/Jeremy Tyler to 3 year deal with team options on 3rd year, partial guarantee's
it prevents any Chris Copeland/Jeremy Lin like deals from happening to us, while keeping low salary/assets/players at low risk/high reward/cost efficient deals that would have little/no effect on our 2015 salary for FA's

Again, not money well spent, and not learning from our past mistakes...
