So we need two more vet signings? One big man--as in Kenyon Martin or Tyrus Thomas and a small like Aaron Brooks who can also play some SG?

I'd go Tyler over Jennings on the roster -- just because center size seems like more of a need.
For big men I'd rank them Dalembert/Thomas/KMART in that order. I'm not a Brooks fan & Felton will play some SG like last year. My pg preference starts with Nate...then after that maybe Telfair (I think Bassy is more solid with getting ball to right people without turnovers and defending).
Not sure if all or any of these guys bite on the minimum but I do think some will have to settle.
Maybe also add a veteran shooter (Raja) --- when I look at that roster I think perimeter shooting is our achilles heel. Also -

I think Jennings so far as earned it. Its also 4-5 insurance for Amare for cheap. I think with Murry the need for a 3rd PG is down or even out. I think the two vets --one needs to score can be a 1-2 like Brooks and the other Kenyon??? Thomas???? a bigger guy???? but thats the blueprint I guess.
if the Knicks can get Aaron Brooks and resign KMart, I'm pretty excited about the offseason
I do think the starting lineup will be
Felton
Priggi/Shump
Artest
Melo
Chandler
though
I wonder if Amare is in the plains or expected/counted on to contribute.
I think Murry and Prigs off the bench could be as good as getting one of these smallish scoring point guards. 6'3 and 6'5 defensive guys who can move the ball plus hit three would be pretty killer off the bench.
JOneil would have been great off the bench, but if Kmart is the best we can do, the knicks likely need to add Tyrus as well because Kmart minutes should be kept low as well.

Sign Kmart and Tyrus Thomas to vet mins
Sign Jeremy Tyler and Terrence Jennings, send Jennings to the Dleague

Really don't wanna see Tyler go anywhere just based on the fact that I could see him eventually becoming very valuable.
Other than the money aspect, remembering Nate body slamming JR into the front row is just another reason I don't see him fitting here. They "may" be professionals, but some guys don't forget that stuff and he might be just one more big personality that's not needed on a team w/ many.
Tyson
Melo
Artest
Shump
Felton
Prig
Amar'e
Bargs
KMart
JR (inj)
TH
Murry
Tyler
Leslie
I think Tyler makes for a nice 3rd C and I would hope the Knicks grab a perimter guy or PG with the final spot. Personally, I am not an Aaron Brooks fan. Udrih would be nice, but not sure it's realistic. I'd take Telfair and be happy.
its not bad...
I think SL is Felton/Shump/Artest/Melo/Chandler bench: Prigs/Bargs/Amare/Hardaway hopefully JR gets healthy, has a great game and we can trade him for anything
Haven't been able to catch anything more than high lights of summer league games - how is Jerome Jordan looking compared to Jennings/Tyler? Had assumed the camp invite would be his to lose, given that he had already made the roster once before.

Jeremy Tyler, Tourre Murry, and Terrence Jennings have been the standouts so far for Knicks SL team and seem most likely to get camp invites.
Just my 2 cents:
I like the look of Toure Murry but with some uncertainty surrounding JR Smith's knee surgery now (the severity, recovery time--everyone's different--look at D.Rose compared to Shumpert, what he'll be like post-recovery, etc.) I want some more proven depth here now. We're too close to fool around here and not have proper insurance lined up...Even with THJ, I want one more SG now. There are a lot of players I like here but trying to keep in mind what the Knicks value (previous NBA experience above all else) -- Chris Douglas-Roberts would be a good choice...Very good size at 6'7" (can play 2 or 3, which only adds to our every growing roster versatility), very talented offensively (he's PROVEN for at least 2 seperate NBA teams that he can produce at the NBA level--blew up the DL last year before being called up by Dallas--he could slide right into the 6th man role and thrive--instant offense off the bench just like JR supplies), about 2 yrs younger than JR too btw. Then I like Brooks as a 2nd uptempo/penetrating/scoring threat PG. TOGETHER, both Brooks and CDR could more than cover JR's scoring output. That's quality/proven depth for the backcourt as a whole..Then I want Earl Barron back in the worst way...This man is flat out underrated and undervalued -- I can't believe there's not more love for him on this board...Legit 7' backup center who will body up, rebound very well and score the ball if/when he has to. For a team that could potentially have rebounding problems once again, this guy could be an equalizer for us.. Complete no-brainer. He's a vet minimum guy that should've been inked up already. Don't know WTF they're thinking here honestly...That's 3 -- for the finally spot, gimme a little more PF depth in case Stoudemire breaks down once again, even Bargnani who's had some injury problems the last few years. Add some insurance/depth at this spot too. Wouldn't mind carrying a younger player with potential here -- a guy like Jamelle Hagins, Jeremy Tyler or Trevor Mbakwe.
Aaron Brooks
Chris Douglas-Roberts
Earl Barron
Jamelle Hagins/Jeremy Tyler/Trevor Mbakwe

So Bargnani spacing the floor for Amare and not Melo? Maybe that is the plan. I know Woodson is in love with Melo at the 4 even against David West and KG
