Knicks · Bucks amnesty Drew Gooden (page 1)

EnySpree @ 7/16/2013 9:25 PM
I don't think he was hurt or done while with them....the bucks are clearly the worst franchise in the league.....especially this off season
Solace @ 7/16/2013 9:36 PM
Probably would pass, but still, the amnesty clause is sort of ironic. It is the best way for teams over the cap to acquire decent talent at a small price for a season or two.
CrushAlot @ 7/16/2013 9:36 PM
Did he have the dreaded plantar fascia? Something was up. He is a good, productive player if healthy.
CrushAlot @ 7/16/2013 9:41 PM
Gooden is only 31. Seems like he has been in the league forever. He would be a nice pick up. I wonder if the Knicks make a run at him and if they got him do they move on from KMart? Having both guys would be great but it would take a spot from a young guy they might be trying to develop.

the bucks are the worst...traded Moute then sign Zaza Pachuilla when they still have Gooden, IIyasova, Henson, Sanders, and Udoh

They sign oj mayo, traded for ridinour, and still haven't done anything with Brandon Jennings.

What exactly are they doing?

BigDaddyG @ 7/16/2013 9:46 PM
I just think they signed him to a bad contract an dtook it out him, even though it was their fault for signing him the first place. I'd like someone a little tougher for us, but I think Gooden can still help a team.

I am not that up on rumors regarding their guys but I heard Detroit might be making a run at Jennings. Jennings with Drummond, Smith, and Monroe would be a tough team for a long time.

realgm posted a rumor for Knight and a filler...sounds good. same rumor for Rondo too

I cant remember the last time I saw Drew Gooden play. Guy is a forgotten man. Lots of rebounds but i always thought empty rebounds.

In terms of Jennings, Detroit should just send over the expiring deals of Charlie V, Rodney Stuckey with Brandon Knight.

When Gooden was given consistent minutes, he played very well.

Just byproducts of bad management. Thus cba works believe it it not. Once these amnesty his clear up teams will be forced to manage smarter and leave option for them to have call space certain years to fix themselves more efficiently....

Makes for a competitive league.

JamesKPolk @ 7/17/2013 6:44 AM
I don't think many here watch teams other than the Knicks play, do they? Because if they did they would know that Drew Gooden is an awful and dumb player. Any fan of every team he's ever played for will tell you that.

It would be great to have that amnesty clause on a yearly basis.

I think Gooden would be a solid guy to have. It seems that whenever he gets playing time he comes through pretty nicely. A guy like that could be very useful during the season when injuries pile up and you throw him out there for a 2-3 week period and help carry you.

if healthy this... he's like JR Smith at PF. If you watch him for a couple weeks you see the high draft choice, the rebounds, scoring from anywhere... and your like this guy is a hell of a player. If you watch him for a couple MORE weeks you scratch you head and wonder if his NBA asperation is to be a poor mans Al Harrington
gunsnewing @ 7/17/2013 11:40 AM
Drew Gooden/kris humphries empty rebounds
