Knicks · I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO START! (page 1)

With all the madness over our "early exit" and trades I have to say that I'm excited going into this season.

Draft picks be damned. If you're a Knicks fan you KNOW that this organization doesn't care about picks. They're going the FA route. Every franchise has a philosophy and the Knicks and picks don't mix. Stop complaining, deal with it or find a new team! (Sarcasm intended.)

Seriously, minus the picks we basically traded Novak and Copeland for Bargnani and Artest! (Yeah I know MWP but he's Ron Artest to me.) Despite personal feelings over our exit last season how can you not be excited over an upgrade?

For the Artest > Copeland, Copeland > Artest crew take a look at it in a different way.

Artest > Camby
AB > Novak

Hardaway JR was a good pick and will help. Shump is going to be better this year. (I love this kid and know he's committed to getting better). Amare at 20 minutes a game is still 20 minutes of beast mode.

54 wins last year and our roster is better! I don't know about you but I'm excited. All I can say is WOW! Let's give this squad a run and see what happens.

BLUE AND ORANGE 4 LIFE!!!

I can't wait either. I am anxious to see who fills out the roster but I never thought the Knicks could replace Camby/Novak with Bargs/Artest. Also, like the idea of developing Leslie and getting him as an undrafted free agent. I think Bargs is a huge addition and will make everything easier on offense for his teammates. I have wanted Ron in NY since the Knicks drafte Weiss. Can't wait to see him in the orange and blue. I really hope KMart is brought back. The guy is a heart and soul player and was a huge part of the Knicks success for the last third of the season.

My T Sharp Barbershop, Coming to America

CashMoney - with the injection of strong personality ("his momma named him Artest, Imma call him Artest!"), muscle (Jeremy Tyler) and Euro stepping offense (Bargnani), Carmelo Anthony will watch his role change. That is a good thing. No longer needed to be the solo leader, Carmelo neither has the will, or the legs, to carry a team by himself.

The 2013-14 Knicks roster could have a balance of offensive diversity and defensive doctors who can lock down when they want to.

No more top heavy scoring. We should average six guys in double figures a night. If the ball can find the open man, Melo. Bargnani. Artest. Felton. Shump... and even "Mister No Post Move To Speak Of" Chandler should all be in double figures.

Defense? Sheesh. Artest and Shump together now you know you in trouble. Ain't nothing but a D Thing, baby.

Leadership? If 54 win Mike Woodson sez he can coach anyone (18 to 80) who is willing to be coached, then let it be so. Artest claimed Woodson was a deal maker. Cool.

Roll out the freakin' ball racks and let's go.

AnswerMan preppin in mid-season form. 54 wins and saying Hello to the second round will do that to some of you (and most of me).

Melo will carry the load, just not as often. Stay tuned for a 60 point game at a World's Most Famous Arena near you. By golly, that's a nice patch you got there, Mr. Anthony.
Scoring Champions are, of necessity, top heavy. Man boobies and the neverending 'he sure looks fatter than his flak jacket' comments not withstanding.

D-Fence. Mean. Ornery. A distant memory are the days when a Rooster was the most fearsome defensive force we had in the paint. I will be interested to see the amount of posterization photo ops that become available against this crew:

Prigs
Shump
JR (for those who are not impressed with Melo's chair jumping)
Artest
Non-Flu, I Spent the Summer Hating Hibbert Chandler

We will press, steal, block, foul, body and T you. We will not watch you.

I am happy happy happy all the day.

This team is so unpredictable but that's what makes their ceiling so high. I'm not instantly buying this Brooklyn hype. Look at LA last year. I still say we're the better team unless KG and Kidd get the Nets to play some defense. I'm always excited for NYK basketball no matter what roster we rolling with! We in the EASTERN CONFERENCE. That ish is always up for grabs!!

If tkf gets on here and says something positive, that will all but guarantee us a chip!
