please God no. Of all the sub-par point guards the Knicks have had, I loathe none of them half as much as I hate Duhon. Him and Shandon Anderson are guys I try very hard to forget about.
Don't forget Howard Eisley!
Ah, Shandon Anderson days- felt like they'd never end...
Duhan has assist record?
Maybe he can go on and say "Clyde reminds me of myself..........."
Sean May's always had pretty good offensive skills -- just looking at some France clips -- not sure if he's quick enough for the NBA at this stage. Looks really heavy now. Always hurt too.
Absolutely no to Chris Duhon. Been there, done that. Too similar to Prigioni -- Prigs is better at this point anyway. It's gotta be Beno first with Bobby Brown a very intriguing 2nd choice before he bolts for China on the 15th. Stick to the plan here -- Udrih 1, BB 1a (we're actually lucky that Bobby Brown is willing to sign with the Knicks for 888k or whatever and keep that option open to the 15th. That's 200-300k less than his Chinese offer. And he was agreeable to fly in to work out with us a 2nd time -- most guys would've taken the best offer, folded up shop & packed their bags for China already. I appreciate the patience he's shown)....Duhon wasn't even that great when we had him a few years back -- just an OK player -- decent enough passer, OK shooter, couldn't take a turtle off the dribble... Now how far has he regressed since then? This feels like bottom-feeding just like Jennero Pargo (no to that guy too btw). This 3rd PG has to be a contrast to PP; someone that can break you down off the dribble and create havoc. BB's ability to score the ball at a good clip could be a great added bonus..
VERY EXCITED we're looking at DJ White -- I've always liked him. I thought the Nets had him -- wasn't he part of the big deal with the Celtics? Think he's got a lot of game for a backup PF. Good size at 6'9" 250?, good rebounder, good mid-range jumpshooter. Very good scorer/rebounder/shot-blocker in college...Real solid, effective player. Kind of on par with Ivan Johnson maybe, give or take a little...All for adding him. 2 years younger than May and I think he's in better shape. He'd be a great signing on a vet min. deal.
I don't understand why Knicks don't have Ahmad Nivins in the Summer League.

They had him in for that free agent mini camp back in June. Maybe he signed in Europe already.

Marc Berman @NYPost_Berman 10h
Told last week #Knicks didn't have interest in PG Chris Duhon despite CD telling people he interviewed with club recently. Nothing changed.
Hopefully Berman scoops Woj on this one.
The former lottery pick averaged 18.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game last season, while playing in France. He last appeared in an NBA game in 2010. The Knicks will also be working out Bobby Brown and D.J. White. Aug 7 - 12:03 PM

If the Knicks sign May they could have flu and fat as their centers.

Sean May and Jawad Williams recently wrapped up their season in France the same way they wrapped up their career at Chapel Hill, with a championship.Paris-Levallois won the French Cup title over JSF Nanaterre 77-74. Paris-Levallois was led by Sean May's 21 points and 13 rebounds, almost as dominant as his performance in the 2005 NCAA championship game. Williams added 12 points in the French Cup title game.
May also claimed the LNB scoring title this season, averaging 18.4 points per game. He also averaged almost eight rebounds a game and was a leader on the court. Williams finished seventh in the scoring, averaging 15.7 points per game. Williams and May both were selected to the All-Star game this season. Williams had 13 points, in what was his second consecutive all star appearance in France.
Paris-Levallois had two Tar Heels on their team last season in Williams and David Noel. This year they found a winning combination in May and Williams and could look at keeping both players for next season. They could get offers from other teams, but they seem to have found a second home in Paris.

God, May looks awful. We already met our fat quotient with Melo and Felton.

Guys that look like that usually set good picks and outlet pass well.

I think Zack looks even worse....Zack is only the best low post threat in the NBA.....Consistent Double Double machine.
I think Sean May has the same potential......Just needs the right system!

That would be great. I always thought of Zach as a guy that was thick and May as a guy that was fat. May looks fat in all of the images I can find but he did lead the league he was in in scoring and grabbed just under 9 boards a night. If he could translate that to the nba he would be huge get for the team that signed him.
I hope the knicks don't end up like the yankees are this season...a bunch of throw away players that were good a while go...hoping for lighting in a bottle

Ha, didn't we try that last season?

The Knicks are NOTHING like the Yankees right now. The Knicks roster was flawed but had lots of talent but too many over the hill vets last year. All of those guys are gone and players that are more capable of fighting thru a season have replaced them. A few more really young players have been added. With a couple more wise additions this team should be ready to rock and strong 1-15. The Yankees can't say that.
Bargs is like Granderson, maybe overpaid but when healthy a very very good player!
FatMay is about 6-8 and a PF.
Why do we panic over who the 12th-14th men on the roster are? Silliness.
Also, I think the bashing of Shandon Anderson and Howard Eisley goes too far sometimes. They were solid players, just shouldn't have been starters. If they were your 7th and 8th men, those were quality players, just heavily overpaid. The 6'7" Clarence Weatherspoon with his .01 inch vertical gave me nightmares, however.

but he expires with Amare, next season those expiring contracts could net us something VERY useful or, just allow them to expire. Either way is a win, win.

IM not buying that anymore!
new CBA got things different.
Im OK with the trade. Yankees are sinking to last place. Its not the end of the world.
Knicks will figure some Way to stay competitive. Bargs has all star talent.
As far as "Expirings" being converted to magical new team, I don't see it. Don't mean it can't happen.
