Not to sound like a snob, and I am sure the borough of Brooklyn is a nice place, but Brooklyn is just a step up from Staten Island, and people typically migrate from Brooklyn, to Staten Island to Jersey, unfortunately.

Yeah, by the Nets moving to Brooklyn instead of elevating the brand of the Nets, it feels to me like they diminished the brand of Brooklyn.

Pierce is done! I expect him to start the season strong Ala JKidd and then fall flat on his face towards the end of the season just like last year when he got locked up by Iman Shumpert.

I can't stomach this POS. KG too -- great players, not taking anything away from either guy in that respect, but come on: two of the biggest douchebags to ever put on a basketball jersey. As if Prokhorov, his billboard with JZ down the block from the Garden and everything that came out of his mouth since taking over wasn't reason enough to circle ever game on the calendar against these clowns, now we got our old buddies Pierce and KG added to the mix too! I thought we'd finally seen the last of KG and Pierce last season when we crushed their dreams in the playoffs- to then see them traded to the Nets, of all teams, was like a nightmare- why won't they just go away and retire?! I found the nets an annoying team anyways, but their presence on it just takes it to another level!
I would never recover from a playoff defeat at their hands, and would hate to see them win a championship! We must defeat them at every opportunity!

That's how I feel about it. I take pride in being from Brooklyn. Pierce like the rest of the nets and their fans are really corny in my opinion. All this shit talking and corny behavior. That's not the Brooklyn way.
I just wish they would stfu and just play. All this run the city shit is for corn balls. Brooklyn is an entity all in itself. You can't understand that if you aren't from there. The mentality always is "in from Brooklyn" that's all we need to say. All that other stuff is not the Brooklyn way. I refuse to rep them until this mentality changes.

I think this will be fun to watch. After a long time the Knicks will be in a credible rivalry that's more than just media trying to drum something up. I hope both teams remain healthy and do their talking on the floor. They got some big time talent - but we have Ron Ron and KMart. I say bucking fring it!!!

I was born and raise in brooklyn and I have absolutely no love for the NETS.. I respect KG cause he plays hard every time he's on the court, despite his dirty play sometimes, he's dfntly a warrior. PP can lick the balls..

Nets are a marketing exercise, everything about their franchise is fake right down to their pretend 'retro' look. You ain't Brooklyn, you're New Jersey.

The wierder thing is, if the Knicks had made something along the lines of what the Nyets did with old, castoff PP and KG, the high volume posting folks on here would be foaming about being on the way to a sure chip.
