To anyone who saw the original Korean flick, it's one phucked up movie!
Was skeptical with Spike Lee as director, but based on the trailer, looks like it's keeping the gritty feel of the original. Can't wait to see the western version!

Never heard of it. Spike usually does a good job. Some movies are not good, but they are entertaining.
I reallyed liked his "Miricle of Saint Anna", it tooke me by suprise.

Yea, Spike has been hit or miss lately, though I really liked "Inside Man".
I think this will be Spike's first remake, maybe this will be his "The Departed" like when Scorsese won best picture for another remake "Infernal Affairs".

Definitely a long time coming. His finest films in my opinion were "Malcolm X" and "Do the Right Thing" though my personal favorite was the basketball pic "He got game" with Ray Allen as Jesus Shuttlesworth. He basically portraying a "Stephon Marbury"-esque high school athlete from Coney Island. The High School is even the same one as the Marbury's "Lincoln High"!

I saw the original and it straight up sticks with you... I'm still digesting it. Definitely looking forward to a remake because I'm rarely in the mood for a movie with subtitles

thanks for sharing this one by the way. Definitely pumped
best part of the preview was seeing that Christopher Multisanti/Spider is in the movie.

Yeah it is. I wonder how close they're going to stick to the original. There are things in there that are screwed up by today's standards. Maybe this open doors for more even more quality Asian move remakes. It's too late for Battle Royale since someone already took the idea and renamed it "Hunger Games."

great movie though the acting was suspect in some spots. lee, to me, have never delivered a bad movie. I still love "she hate me" though that was arguably his worst. however, movies like "do the right thing", "Malcolm x" and "inside man" should have been nominated for more Oscars and win some but I think its the case of spike's reputation that prevents him from doing so.

Wish I could say the same for Paul

He made a few decent things with the Beatles (Revolution #2, the version nobody listens to) and nothing as Wings. Was Lynda McCartney the yoogliest thing you've ever seen?
Mull of Kintyre is good to me. Only because I'm a stupid potato eater.
